Bread is a highlight for sure. Superb quality of ingredients and an irresistible variety of pastries… my only complaint is that the sandwich seemed a bit too expensive to me… but for freshly-baked bread, it could be justified. Great place highly recommended by locals!

Best bread I've had! Healthy bread yet it still has the fluffiness it should. They have a good variety of breads as well. They're always accommodating to making my bread plastic free, I really appreciate that. My mom also raves about how delicious their bread tastes. Their vegan cake is decadent rich chocolatey goodness with an elegant design.

I love my old fav, Seeded Rye. Last time, I asked you to cut it half so I could share it with a friend, who is teaching me about sharing. It tasted even better! I love you, & have for many years. Your organic vegan creations are much appreciated by me!

Their vegan chocolate cake is our of this world! They also have amazing bread and pastries/cookies. I always get greeted with a smile, they're great!Food: 5/5

My husband and I recently revisited Wildfire Bakery located at 1517 Quadra Street corner of Mason and Quadra, Victoria, BC, after a hiatus of about 5 years. We were walking in the area, when we saw the quaint old building and remembered we had been there once. At that time of the day it was very busy, as it obviously has a solid, loyal customer base, so we gave up trying to get someone’s attention and left. The second time it was not so busy, we had a good look at everything and purchased a loaf of whole wheat bread. It was so fresh and appetizing, that as soon as we got home we broke big chunks of the crusty loaf and wolfed it down at once. Since then we have been back a few times trying different items. Their muffins are big and satisfying, the carrot cake is tasty and the chocolate cake is heavenly. They also have a good selection of wholesome-looking sandwiches and cookies. The place is small, quaint and down-to-earth. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a large selection of healthy breads whole wheat, spelt, and rye, among others baked daily in a wood-fired oven. We also appreciate their good selection of stone ground whole grain flours from Nootka Rose milling in Metchosin. I doubt whether one could find better breads anywhere in Greater Victoria.

Went here for 30 minutes before they closed, and they said they turned off their coffee machine.... ..not going there for coffee again. Their food is great, but without good service, I cannot be bothered to go back.

Have been purchasing bread for years. However, I just purchased their granola and it was below average. It's was over cooked, hard and zero flavor. I won't be purchasing it again. Really disappointing!!! Love the bread!!!

I had originally written a not so great review about this place because the service was not great and the seating situation is pretty small and not ideal.. but I’ve given them a second chance and each time I’ve gone in to grab a fresh loaf of bread, the service has been wonderful. The over all layout of the bakery could be reworked to invite more people to hang out and stay a while but I simply grab my goodies to go and don’t have much of an opinion about it anymore. The bread is delicious, the sandwiches are really good and generous and the pastries are always a hit. This isn’t my favourite bakery in town but it’s still a wonderful little spot.

Coffee is amazing. Very smooth. Cinnamon rolls are large with good frosting. The nainamo bars came highly recommended.

Amazing place in victoria for bread and pastries. I would recommend their selection of breads they are all great and very tasty. Personally love the olive loaf! Limit of 2 people in at once but it goes pretty fast except for the odd ones. They also have a massive slice of pizza for lunch, but you need to be there early as they sell out really fast.
