This is by far my favourite No Frills store. Even though it's not the closest to my home (I have four within walking distance) it's the one I frequent the most. I don't do all of my shopping at No Frills but there are some staples that do go there for specifically. My only complaint is that the frozen fruit section (berries in particular) is rarely well stocked and completely empty more often than not.

This place use to house towers department store until 1989 or so. Then it became a knob hill farms grocery store. Then they closed up in the mid to late 90’s then no frills popped up. It has lots of parking and a gas bar to fill your gas tank. My only real problem is I wish they had a larger fresh vegetable section.

Large No Frills store. You can find most grocery items you are looking for. There is free parking which makes it convenient since it is hard to find a grocery store in downtown toronto with parking. Store is clean and there are plenty of cashiers at the check outs. Great weekly flyer specials as well.

I used to live in the area and went to this No Frills almost weekly. One thing I'll say is that this place is consistently mediocre. Recently, I was in the area and went to grab some groceries here and literally it hasn't changed in 2 years. Decent line ups, same lighting, same people, same items out of stock.

It was the day after Good Friday and I was too lazy after work on Thursday to stock up, so I figured I'd beat the rush and go early Saturday morning. Apparently everyone in the neighbourhood had the same bright idea. There was a long, single line-up for all the cash registers, of which only one was not open. Two old people in front of me asked a helpless employee why the lineup was like this and started whining about how they should improve customer service. I told them "he just said almost every cash register is open", and the old man said "well they should've known it was going to be busy". Then, by that line of reasoning, YOU should have known it was going to be busy, old man, and got your groceries on Thursday. I was perfectly okay with atoning for the sin of sloth by spending another 15 minutes in line at the grocery store than usual, but apparently everyone else in line thought the management was to blame, as if No Frills employees were out kicking down the doors of innocent civilians while they enjoyed their Saturday morning ritual of enjoying the groceries they had the foresight to purchase before the holiday, dragging them to the store, and forcing them at gun point to shop for next weeks food. My favourite entertainment was the blonde woman in her 40s (being generous here) in the Canada Goose jacket who was already checking out in line when a store employee walked by and she uttered the traditional mantra of her people: "are you the manager?" And this guy had the absolute steely resolve to look her in the eyes and reply, "yes". Like, there was nothing about this woman's demeanour that said that she was going to follow through with any ounce of sense or respect, this guy knew he was about to get an earful of misguided frustration, and he just strapped his nuts on and took it. He told her the same thing that was told to the other guy, that almost every register was open, and she complained about the fact that all the lines congealed into one long line, and she had to sit for a whole ten minutes of her life and watch as senseless peope cut into line ahead of her. The manager simply said, "what do you want me to do? That's not my problem", and he was right, it wasn't. It's not his fault that a bunch of entitled adults can't deal with the fact that sometimes life is busier than you expect it to be and start to act like children, and it's not his fault you didn't have the gall to curtly tell each individual line cutter to get to the back of the line like the rest of us were doing. You just saved it for someone that, in your mind, wasn't allowed to push back against your cowardly attack, lady, but he did, and it was wonderful. She then went on to suggest that they have staff directing people where to line up, and that each register should have a line running straight down the aisles, which would've blocked all of the aisles and caused pandemonium and, more importantly, NOT SPED UP THE PROCESS WHATSOEVER. She got the last word in with "you know, some places actually care about the customer experience, but whatever I guess you don't." Lady, you just suggested that they take on extra staff. To make sure adults behaved themselves. At a store. Called No Frills. Go spend twice the money for the same stuff at Loblaws, you stupid, stupid, absolutely moronic idiot. Big shout out to the staff for being as polite and courteous as they could when dealing with the frustrated whining of a bunch of children masquerading as adults, you guys are amazing.
