Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport

I promised to leave an outstanding and honest review so here it goes…nnArrived Canada on the 6th of July 2026 from the Uk, the shuttle service was great and picked me from the airport to the hotel. Got to the hotel and I met an awesome lady,NAV! I was welcomed with a smile and she was helpful especially when it was difficult to charge my phone as the sockets were not compatible with my adapter. She was really kind and caring with a good sense of humornNAV deserves a raise in her salary, she is top-notch. My appreciation also goes to KAHLED and TONY for making me laugh and making my stay enjoyable especially with charging my phone always asking how I was and if I needed anything. The room was clean and very comfortable especially the bed- I could sleep all day Thanks to the housekeeping team.nThis review wouldn’t be complete without The Cannery Kitchen- the meals were tasty and amazing! I would have spent all my money on food if I wasn’t carefulnnOverall, my experience was great and memorable, I would definitely be coming back!

It’s a fine hotel. The rooms were really nice, clean, and well-presented. The double room had mood lighting and a nice, large TV. The view wasn’t so nice though since my room was facing the street, and depicted Toronto’s industrial side. Still, I did see some planes go by whilst waking up so that was nice.nnThe AC was absolutely wonderful. The thermostat was responsive and the AC was also right beside the bed so the cool or warm breeze is just splendid.nnLocation is all right. There is a Boston Pizza nearby plus other restaurants. But downtown is gonna be a bus ride to Lawrence West and then a train ride all the way to the downtown core. Also, the bus stop is not adjacent to the hotel. But this is primarily an airport hotel and is close to some conference centres, so it’s more business oriented than tourist oriented.

I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza for Anime North a few times over the years and it has always been a great experience. Solid home base for the convention, and I've had no problems at all.nnThis year, however, I accidentally booked a room with a freight train. I'm writing this at 3am, so I'll let that speak for itself. The hotel is not at fault for this in any way.nnThe gentleman at the front desk absolutely saved my night. He responded with genuine kindness and understanding, and produced a pair of earplugs that are currently the most important objects in my life.nnThank you, thank you, thank you.

We arrived 30 minutes after the advertised check-in time, but our room was still not ready. The lobby was packed with guests waiting, and there wasn't enough seating available. I needed to make an important business call and was directed to sit in the restaurant since there was nowhere else to go. When we asked about compensation for the delay, we were given a small bag containing chips, a granola bar, and a bottle of water, which did not feel like an appropriate response given the inconvenience.nOnce our room was finally ready, it was disappointing. It was quite small, didn't smell fresh, and the cleanliness was lacking. There were dust bunnies under the cabinets, the toilet had visible stains, and the pillows smelled old—a first for me in any hotel.nThe hallway noise was also very noticeable, suggesting poor soundproofing, and to make matters worse, parking cost an additional $30 per night. Overall, this was a disappointing stay. There are many better airport hotel options available that offer a cleaner, quieter, and more accommodating experience.

nnI can’t thank this hotel enough for helping us during a very stressful situation. Due to an issue with Booking.com, our reservation didn’t go through properly even though the payment had already been processed. When we arrived, the hotel was completely sold out, but the staff still went above and beyond to try everything they could to help us.nnA huge shout-out to Himanshu for the outstanding customer service. He was incredibly kind, patient, understanding, and genuinely cared about finding a solution for us. Even though the hotel was fully booked, he did his absolute best to accommodate us and made a frustrating experience much easier to deal with.nnIt’s rare to come across someone who provides service with such professionalism and compassion. Thank you again, Himanshu, for all your help. You truly made a difficult situation much better, and I highly recommend this hotel because of the amazing staff!
