Bicycle Depot provided me with incredible service and they've earned a customer for life. They had my vintage 10-speed bike ready-to-ride in the same day I dropped it off. Read further for the whole story and all the details. Years ago I purchased a bunch of bike parts from various sources with the intent of fixing up my old bike. I gave up on that project shortly after I discovered the parts were not fitting correctly. This morning I phoned Bicycle Depot and explained my problem. Rick was very understanding of the situation and assured me that he could get the bike up and running. I brought the bike along with a bucket of parts to the shop for an estimate. Rick gave me a quote and said the bike would be ready by the end of the day. My phone rang not even 5 hours later and Rick enthusiatically said "my beauty" was ready for pickup. He wasn't lying. This 50 year old bike looked brand new when I picked it up and I couldn't be happier. There are many bike shops in this city that would have pressured me to purchase a new bike, fortunately that was not the case with Bicycle Depot. Rick was very respectful of my needs and of the old bike I had brought to the shop. He did a great job in keeping the 'vintage look' of the bike like I had requested. Whether you show up with a cheap bike, or a $10k bike, you will not be judged or pressured by the staff at Bicycle Depot.

I've been going to the Bicycle Depot practically since it opened and I've never been disappointed. When I lived out of town my dad went there to look for these particular eye-bolts that my old fenders needed and continually lost. They knew what he wanted because they remembered my bike and got the right bolts for him. I have purchased two bikes from them, one for me and one for my dad. My bike is a fairly decent bicycle that I've had for 9 years, but still feels brand new. My dad's bike was priced like a Canadian Tire bike, but it is a great bike - I don't know why anyone would buy a bike from a store like Wal-Mart or Zellers or Canadian Tire. I have been to other bike shops in Toronto and, though the people have usually been relatively knowledgeable and nice, they always seem to be trying to sell you something more. I went into the Bike Depot looking for a new helmet because I had totally worn out the sponge parts on the inside. They actually refused to sell me a helmet and *gave* me new adhesive sponges. I got a few more years out of that helmet (I just got a new one from them because the old one had a significant crack). I can't say enough positive things about these guys... except that maybe they should wear name tags as I'm pretty sure I know which one is Rick and which one is Robin when they are together, but even after 12 years, I get it wrong all the time. As for the few negative reviews, all I can say is I don't believe it. My review is sincere and knowing these guys, I can say that the rest of the reviews sound completely genuine. You have to wonder why there are so many positive reviews when people are usually more ready to complain and that's because Rick & Robin are just that good. Denise.

I was in several bike shops and I can compare. I have 5 vintage bikes and in the other shops they were not able to find any of the problems, they would tell me to simply replace some parts, but the problems would stay. Here, they were able to find the problem and solve it. They fixed all five of our bikes, and I am very satisfied. You always get more than what you paid for.

THE BYCYCLE DEPOT IS AN EXAMPLE OF AN ETHICAL BUSINESS. The owners care so much about Customer satisfaction which is hard to find in businesses now-a-days. My son’s bike was going flat on rear tire after being repaired twice last year which was frustrating . I took the bike almost after a year to the Bike depot today and they not only fixed the rear tire & tube but also changed the front tire and tube WITHOUT ANY COST. On top of it, he apologised for any inconvenience due to the flat tire. I was totally awed with their demeanor and want to thank ROB AND RICK from bottom of my heart. It is hard to find such good human beings now-a-days.
