Amazing food! Best Lamb skewers by far! Noodles have the perfect chew. Broth creamy but not fatty. Fantastic meal! They brought out tables and chairs for us outside. Chef who cares and speaks English.
I had drop by a cold winter day before heading home . I saw a full restaurant and as I enter the owner quickly let me know he was too busy and if I wanted an order to be made it will be over half hour . I contemplated and as not been able to dine out for awhile I reluctantly stayed and ask for suggestions on what to order .I was assured their hand pulled lamb noodle soup is the best choice . And so I agreed and I also ordered a few lamb skewers to tie me over . The skewers came around 15min after i ordered it was well flavored and I was famished so that combination made this a heaven sent manna . So my anticipation to have the recommended hand pulled lamb noodle jad finally arrived as said around 30 minutes after .So when I had been served the bowl of noodle I was rather astounded . This over anticipation was quickly diminished when I saw a bug bowl of soup and herbs. I was still hopeful perhaps the meal was just below the surfaced . But when searching for the food the noodles were the only thing I can salvage . So I proceed to have these fresh bouncy noodles . So as I ate I kept searching till ate the bottom I could almost missed a few bits and kernel of lamb and no more than 4 piece of tiny pea sized of lamb . It was like the excess pieces that was cut off after cleaning off a the trimmings. I was so disappointed but I wasn't able to complain as the owner was nowhere insight for me to ask for retribution . Any how I finally quickly ate the rest of well cooked and tasty noodle soup but I felt I should t have paid full price for maily noodle soup .
Finally tried out their BIANG BIANG noodle, it was so good but when you add their homemade chili oil it was divine! I was also there to tried out their lamb pao mo, exactly what I expected!
Excellent beef brisket hand pulled noodle soup and lamb skewer appetizers. Also recommend the bun with the beef and jalapeno peppers. The lamb noodle soup is also very good. All the appetizers I've had so far have been excellent. The biggest drawback is the main menu is only in Chinese and there are no pictures of the dishes that you can point to. I recall seeing a shorter English menu. Also, the English fluency of the service staff is limited unfortunately. They really should translate their main menu and improve the menu layout, the food is really quite good and reasonably priced.
A very very local Chinese place which made me feel like I was in China. I had the biang biang noodles and they were so delicious!! The noodles are handmade and it was the perfect texture. The price was amazing too! The pancake was average, I thought there would be some sauce but it was really dry so I'd pass on that.. but definitely will be back for noodles!! The staff was also really nice and polite :
Waiting time is too long during weekends since only the couple serving customers, but overall food quality is okay.
We've been craving Northern Chinese food for a while and someone recommended Tang's. It is by far the best Northern Chinese food we've ever had! I don't know how to read the Chinese menu, so I asked the owner to just surprise us. Boy! Were we pleasantly surprised! We've been to other Northern Chinese restaurants before, but the food here seems higher quality and made with more care and attention to detail, presentation and flavours. From their lamb skewers to hand pulled noodles, you can tell the food is authentic. I'll definitely be back again!
Authentic Chinese Shanxi cuisine with friendly staff. Decent price; the environment is cleanincluding the washroom. Fresh hot tea provided, and speed services.
Not 100% authentic, but authentic enough to remind me of home. The owner is a great person and he really cares about the quality of his food.
Loved their BB noodles. Prices are fair, in my opinion.Food: 5/5
