Chef 88

The food was good here, but the portions were a bit small. Service was really good for an Asian establishment. We ordered a few expensive dishes because we were celebrating a birthday, but a good meal here for a hungry group could be had for about $20-30 per person.

Bought our food for chinese new year celebration. We were late 1 hour but the staff is very nice and patient with us. Peking duck was very tasty! Lots of portion and sauce. Noodles was perfectly cooked! Thank you for making a nice meal for us! Happy Lunar New Year!

Good food and fast service, cant really complain! Love getting the chicken and stir fry dishes here. Clams are not worth getting since there is barely any meat, but all around good meal that includes soup and dessert.

Classic Cantonese fare. I was introduced to Chef 88 by my classic friend Hilary Ng who owns The Best Dim Sum food company at 23 Milliken and she really knows her stuff. I am madly in love with cold poached organic chicken and ginger sauce. I also adore the stir fried pea shoots, crispy duck and pancakes and who can resist sweet and sour pork. I still don’t get why they put blueberries on it! Noodles are heavenly especially Cantonese chow mein but their rice is truly special. We had this very cool soup to start but sadly I don’t remember the name. Stir fried eggplant is killer and I love nibbling at black bean spare ribs. My friend and I were craving Peking duck and we found Chef 88. Food was great. Staff were very attentive anf helpful! We will be back!

A small but authentic Chinese restaurant in Scarborough. Price is very reasonable, good portion and tasty. Plenty of parking. You won't be disappointed Parking: Free parking

Our favourite! Quality and service are top notch previous 5star review Edit: 2/2/23 visit weekday evening and food tastes and quality below average. I'm not sure if the cook changed or the cook on weekdays is different but everything was off.

Nice restaurant for Chinese food and family dining. Portions are great and flavours are wonderful as well. Prices here are also very fair.
