Fantastic service and food! I bought a chili to go and a few frozen meals. Let me tell you, this chili is wonderful! I knew I would enjoy the food as soon as I walked in. Highly recommend. Thank you so much!
5 stars is not enough Went in to try a jumbo hot dog, turns out that's a weekend item. They instead offered me a chili cheese dog wrap which was incredible. A little messy at the last few bites but plenty of napkins were given so I was prepared. Stop by if you're in the area, or be like me and make the trip specifically to go in.
Lori's Takeaway Cafe is my go-to for Lunch when I get over to the Island! Lori and Dave are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet! They seem to know the names of everyone that steps in to the shop and what they like. Probably the definition of a warm family run neighbourhood business. Give their Pasta Salad I swear it's the best and various sandwiches and subs a try, I've never had a bad experience or bad food here. Friday's and Saturday's they do have the grill on for sausages and burgers as well! Would highly recommend Lori's to anyone that's in the area. You certainly won't be disappointed.
Ordered a large chilli. It came with one small piece of bread. I asked for an extra piece of bread. Owner tried charging me an extra $2 for a small piece of bread even though I was buying a large chilli. Haven't gone back since. Bad customer service. They care more about the money then feeding the people at a decent price. That is why turnover has been low and they will not last in this neighborhood.

THE BEST BEEF DIP IN THE CITY!!!! THE BEST BURGER IN THE CITY!!!!! This local spot is such a hidden gem! Highly recommend, a must try!!!!
What's not to love about this place? They support community based mental health initiatives and Dave grills up some delicious burgers!
