Authentic Vietnamese food and very good. The decor is outdated but if you don’t mind the old decoration you will enjoy the food alot. Try the bun rieu and banh canh cua and both was very tasty and very similar to how you would get it in Vietnam.
Small and old Vietnamese restaurant. Grew up in Asia so the old interior did not bother us at all. The owner was friendly and food was very good! We had no.17 bun bo hue and no. 26 banh canh cua. Both are very flavorful and packed with lots of ingredients. Spring roll on the other hand was just okay, but we will definitely come back to try other items on the menu!! The only downside is open for lunch hour only plus cash only would be nice if they accept debit but the bank is literally just across the street
Only opens for lunch!!!!! The restaurant is small and not pretty. However, they serve the best Vietnamese noodle soup I’ve had in Vancouver. Very flavourful! Will definitely go back again.
It is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver. I visit this place with my friend twice per month. The owner was so attentive and helpful. I usually order Bun Mam and Bun Rieu there. The food portion is quite big for me so I usually ask the owner to put less noodles and give me extra vegetables. Food are authentic, tasty and delicious. Highly recommended!
Very dirty restaurant. The pho tasted excellent but both me and my husband got very bad stomachache afterwards. WONT RECOMMEND AT ALL. Everything is overpriced, and they only accept cash.
Bun Bo Hue and the Bun Rieu were excellent - both had great amounts of meat and pork blood. Very flavourful broth and friendly owner. Certainly one of the best places I have tried so far in Vancouver - will definitely be back soon. Make sure to bring cash as this place is cash only.
Food was ok but the restaurant smelt like cigarette smoke and stale refrigerators. Everything felt a bit dirty including some leftover grease on utensils that made me paranoid while eating. Wouldn’t go back for that reason.
Great pho! Very busy but good service.
I was driving down Victoria to find a pho restaurant that had parking but couldn’t find any. So I decided to drive down kingsway to find a pho restaurant and came across this place that had available parking spots. They also have parking in the rear. I wasn’t expecting anything special because it’s the first time trying this restaurant. To my surprise it’s actually really good. I ordered the Hu Tieu and it’s very unique with a lot of flavour. The seating was easy with no waits and plenty of tables. The prices are fair. All in all, I was really happy eating here. The flavour is unique here and reminds me of Vietnam. Keep in mind though, this place is cash only. I didn’t even google this place before trying it and I have to say that I’d eat here again many more times. 5/5!
So I have been having a Pho-Down in Vancouver for that last 14 years searching for the "The Best Pho in VanCity". I read a review where someone claimed this place "best Pho hands down". That is quite a strong statement. and claim so I thought I should check it out. The place isn't pretty and will not even come close to pleasing contemporary senses. In fact it's not even trying with its lime green paint and basic tables in chairs in some sort to row. It feels more like something you find in the side street in Hanoi. And that is exactly what you want. Open only 4 hours per day, owner and family create the most authentic Viet flavours in the city. Only one way to say it: Best Pho Hands Down.
