Travelodge Richmond Hill

We decided to stay here since our drive home is a few hours away from the city. Was affordable and smooth process. Check in process was easy and allowed pets. Was with family and booked three rooms and everything was clean. Maybe my only suggestion and issue I had was the mini shampoo and conditioner bottles left in washroom for use were empty in all three of the rooms and were not replenished. I would highly suggest room service correct this or supervisor review this. Not a big deal but it’s the convenience factor and considering none of the three rooms had it made it obvious there was an issue. Aside from that everything else was fine and rooms were clean.

As someone who has previously worked front desk in hospitality, I pay close attention to how guests are treated — and the staff here truly stood out. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. You can tell they care about guests and take pride in their work, which isn’t always easy in this industry. The team handled everything professionally while still being warm and approachable. Huge respect to the staff — they’re doing an excellent job.

Rooms are nice, bathroom is lacking a fan. Limited TV stations, 30 minutes of wifi I didn't use. Better free breakfast than most. Good for a cheap stay.

Goos hotel if you're looking for a bed to rest for the night. The building is older and the hallways are dark, but it looks like they renovated the rooms. It is right on Yonge and you can take the Blue line to get to Toronto easily. No bed bugs and everything was freshly cleaned when I arrived. My only complaint is that there was a big gap in the door and you could hear people in the hallway clearly, but thankfully people were quiet. Also nobody was at the desk when I checked in or out, and I had to go find people in the back room.

Comfortable room and friendly staff but the common areas are a little worn especially the elevator carpets. The elevator lobby smelled of smoke as a smoking area was set up just outside the doors to the lobby.
