Travelodge Richmond Hill

Used to staying in budget motels but would not stay here again. Bad location. Took 45 minutes to check in because of a computer update issue, staff was unsympathetic. Room not clean - hairs on the night table and around the bathroom sink, and toilet seat was up. Room did not appear to have been cleaned since last resident. Heater was broken. No smoke detector in the room, which is illegal. Sign posted outside hotel absolves itself of responsibility for vehicle damage/theft, suggesting this may have happened in the past.

It's an alright hotel. I rate places I visit in a fair and respectful manner. Assuming that this a budget accommodation, my hopes were not that high. The place is clean. The beds are fantastic and soft. My biggest concern here is the safety. You will notice on many (if not all) doors have a 1.5 inch gap at the ground, making it enough for someone to peek under. The photos attached are what the doors look like and what i had to do to prevent peeping toms.

I just got to my room and I was in total shock. It was beautiful . I have dark gleeming hardware floors 2 big beds the washroom is tucked away, room a table with 2 chairs , a small dresser and a desk. Seriously I could live here permanently if I could because you don't need anything else . Also breakfast included. ..WOW

Over priced, the hole motel smells like pot, asked for a non smoking room and stunk like smoke in there. Big rooms comfy beds.

Cleaner then reviews led us to believe. Beds are very firm. Our room had a mini fridge, so we didn't need to keep buying ice for our cooler. The carpets in our room could stand to have a good cleaning. Otherwise quite a decent hotel for the price. Also breakfast was awesome - they had make it yourself waffles. I was impressed.
