Hilton Garden Inn Toronto/Markham

The location is great - close to everything we wanted 10-15 min drive, and there are great food options in the next parking lot all walkable distance. I was really disappointed that the hot tub is not in use - an employee explained to me that Hilton needed to differentiate the levels and decided that Hilton Garden will only have a pool and no hot tub, so they had to drain the hot tub and put it out-of-commission. The pool's cleanliness is slightly questionable and my brother said the pool water tasted funny - not like the pools in the U.S., so it is possible the chlorine level is lower than what the U.S. requires. My favorite part is the lobby - it has a gas fireplace. I run over to it after coming in from the cold weather outside to warm up, during our winter visit. The room was clean and I was surprised to find the A/C filter was clean too - doesn't happen in a lot of hotels.

Terrific older, but well maintained, hotel in the Markham area of Toronto. We have a special needs adult child who is in a wheelchair, so having a 2 queen room with room to maneuver the wheelchair is very helpful. I wish I had a picture of the room. I did take a picture of the pet relief area, the gardens and the restaurant and bar area. The hotel is located adjacent to restaurants and other amenities. We’ll be staying here again.nnThe service got a 3 star ONlY because I didn’t interact with anyone. I had the electronic key so when we arrived we went straight to the room, very easy.

I found a bed bug in the bed. I took a picture and showed the manager. He said he would contact us after he gets the pest control report. The next day, i get an email saying the pest control company said the room had no signs of any insects. How can that be true when i have pictures as proof? The manager didn’t wanna give us any compensation or nothing, just a “we are sorry, I can’t do anything”. I do not recommend this hotel at all unless you wanna bring bed bugs home.

Rooms were clean and everyone was friendly. My one gripe was the pool. I'm not sure if it was moldy or just in need of painting, but the bottom looked black and parts of the sides were rusty.nnVery good location, with lots of interesting food choices in the area.

I mostly stay at Hilton hotel, during my stay over the weekends. When the time was ready to check it, I could choose my room using the apps. The staffs were friendly, hotel was clean, guests were quiet on 5/F. It has a lobby with lots of seatings for chatting with friends. The hotel room was clean. Water pressure was great, strong enough.nOn Sunday when I checked out at 10:30am, the cleaning lady was polite and she make sure we are leaving before she clean the room.nThere was 2 bottles of water free for us who were silver, gold or diamond members.nAlso, this hotel was close to freeway, very convenient.
