The Rec Room

Good food although a bit pricey. Had vegan impossible burger.nnCool cocktail tower which we shared among 8 of us.nnLive music! Some good 90’s and early 2000’s bangers.nnTons of arcade games. They should add more air hockey and pool tables though. The arcade credit cost $30 and 4 of us shared it for an hour, so pretty cheap.nnFun place to hang out with a group or friends!

The Rec Room at West Edmonton Mall is a fun and convenient entertainment spot right inside the mall. It offers a great selection of games, some of which are different from the South Common location, adding variety to the experience. The prize selection is also similar, making it a solid option for arcade lovers. Overall, it's a great place to unwind while shopping or visiting the mall.

We arrived there with a pre-purchased gift card from Costco, which gave us credits and nachos. About 1/8 of the machines we tried took credits from our account but did not function, and there were no attendants around to dispute the failure. We then decided to get the nachos on the gift card, after sitting around for about 20 minutes, I was finally able to ask a waitress, and she told me where we were sitting I'd have to go to the bar to order. There was zero indication or signage telling this. So fine we ordered the nachos, added chicken, and 2 drinks. The nachos came and they literally only had the chips, chicken, cheese and about a 1/8 cup of green onion. The most redeeming quality of the place was an outside from the band that played, they entertained us for a bit.

A fun place to go to for the arcade with a wide selection of games. They also have a bar and restaurant which serves decent food and reasonable prices. Had the pretzel, fish and chips, the spaghetti, and cauliflower. They all came out pretty good and I was impressed by the size of the fish for the fish and chips. Definitely would come back.

My daughter 8 years old and I had a few hours to kill one afternoon.nnI had no idea how many tickets to buy. So I bought $70 worth for her and I to play games.nnWe spent over 2.5 hours in the Rec Room and had an absolute blast! It took us actual effort to go through all of our tickets.nnHad so much fun and my daughter talks about it all the time!nnWe went during the day so it wasn’t crazy busy in there. Which was nice.
