I took my Mom here for Birthday Brich and it was amazing! We ordered the crepe, croque madame and some coffee. It was incredible, plus the host staff and server were super friendly. Definitely will return!
Food tastes great, service was excellent and the joint was clean, open and inviting. Lots of unique items on the menu and loved the flavour of the fries cooked in tallow. Only reason for the 4 stars is that I found it a bit pricey for what you get $60 for 2 breakfastsand the parking was an inconvenience. With that being said, I will more than likely be back to try other menu items. They are known for their poutines but we tried the bennys and they were great.
Picked this place randomly to take my daughter to eat. We were seated quickly and provided a menu and first drinks right away. She had the pancakes which were large and fluffy with lots of syrop. Staff brought a huge bowl of whipped cream when they saw she was excited to have the option. I had the smoked meat Benny with thick cut wedge fries. The fries were great with a delicious seasoning. The Bennys were perfect... The egg was while and the yolk ran over the meat and bread when cut. The butter knife easily cut through the tender smoked meat which was full of flavor and dissolved I'm my mouth quickly. Great service, excellent food.
I had the classic breakfast two eggs, pork, bangers, hashbrowns and toast. I added a side of ham and hollandaise sauce. The hollandaise sauce was fantastic. The ham could’ve been thicker, next time I would order the bacon. The coffee was really good medium roast with flavour. Great service.
End Opinion? .... OverpricednnWe had a late brunch on a Friday. It wasn't too busy. The restaurant is on a corner, bright, with lots of windows and a nice modern decor. There is some bar seating.nnReception was friendly, quick and professional and we were soon seated with menus and water. There is an extensive food and beverage menu. We ordered two drinks and a coffee. They were soon delivered. The coffee was a tasty medium blend. We ordered a Classic Breakfast with eggs over, with maple pork 'bangers' and 'artisan' toast; a Gold Standard stuffed Belgian waffle with added berries and whipped cream; and, the Soul in a Bowl breakfast poutine. All arrived in a timely way and were tasty.nnAs well as being extensive, the menu offers unique twists - such as 'lardons' as a meat selection and fries cooked in beef tallow.nnEach diner, though, found at least one fault with their meal. One of them felt their drink wasn't well made. One wasn't fond of their 'lardons' too fatty. One found their eggs going cold as they ate plate not hot enough plus the brioche toast was cold. We also found our salt shaker filled with salt not ground fine enough to dispense quickly fixed.nnOf all these, the faults with the basic eggs and sausage meal were most surprising. This is the one meal they should excel at.nnOur overall feeling is the restaurant is trying to be varied and upscale, but not hitting the mark. Maybe they're trying to offer too much variety? They charge premium prices - so there should be very few let-downs!nnThe restaurant is OK, but overpriced.
