The Park Theatre

I love going here for the 70mm film, I enjoy the old school vibe it gives. Seating is a bit old school too but definitely comfortable. Also worth noting it's not a very steep gradient so the rows of seats are practically level, so if someone sits in front of you it's noticeable, keep that in mind.

The Men's washroom intensely reeked of urine to the point where you could smell it from the concession stand. The garbage were overflowing. To top it all off the singular theater is rectangular and very long so the screen was 50m away from us, and the sound was very quiet. Will never come here again. The popcorn was good though, although the staff barked commands at us st concession.

Excellent layout. Even if you are at the very back of the theatre, the tallest person in front of you will never block your view. Absolutely brilliant! However, the speakers appear to be closer to the front and the volume isn't very high so be sure to sit middle ground and onwards near the front for better sound quality.

I went and saw the Oppenheimer movie on 70 mm.nThe getting and reserving of seating is key to a good viewing. The only line is for snacks. That is something you want to decide before going In.nnFrom our seats on the far left I could see the screen thread pattern in the black. The audio is well tuned. Didn’t ruin the movie. Keep it up.

Love this little vintage style theater. I will often drive over from North Van. Friendly staff, easy free parking nearby. This theater will show some off the beaten path great movies I'd not see otherwise. Lots of places on Cambie to have a drink, snack or coffee before/after the show.
