We used to love this place, but lately we've noticed the lack of upkeep on the chairs...

Nice and friendly staff, not very crowded sometimes only a few people got to see a movie.
So bad that it's good. As soon as you get inside, you realize that the theatre has been unchanged since the late 80s or 90s as you are blessed by the neon signs and awful array of colours. If it wasn't for the 2 ticket machines at the front, the only modern luxury available would be a butter fountain at the straw/condiment/napkin dispensary. If your movie isn't on the main level, you can look forward to 3 flights of stairs standing adjacent to a broken escalator. You might also see the upstairs concession, which I have personally never seen open. The theatres are lovingly named - each with its own custom entrance, a touch of personality that goes no further than the doors. Enjoy the comfort and quality of the classic low pitch viewing floor seating style. The best feature though, is how empty this theatre usually is. The minute inconveniences you might experience can be well worth it if you enjoy a poorly attended film. It can be really nice to only share the theatre with 10 or 15 other people. Cineplex clearly has no intention to renovate the theatre, since attendance is so low. It's part of the charm though - brings you back to a time before ULTRA AVX, D-BOXES, and other absurd luxuries that have become available in recent years. This place has quirkiness & charm - something that is totally lacking from the newer theatres.
An old theatre with lots of nostalgic memories. Sure it isn't big, or has tiered seating, and the decor is tacky. But it is great to have a theatre on the north shore and easily accessible. They keep it clean and functional. Have attended multiple times before and will keep going.
I've been seeing movies here since I was a kid and it hasn't changed much. Now it's owned by Cineplex, like most others, and they do a good job of keeping it clean and in decent shape. It's convenient and accessible with plenty of transit and parking nearby. They tend to split new releases with the Park and Tilford theater, so not every film I would like to see is shown here.
I went with my 18 yr old son and it was great as even though there were quite a lot of people there was not much of a queue. The only problem was getting the tickets. You either have to get at the machine s and there is no one to help if someone has a problem so it takes a while. Or at the kiosk where there is always a line up. Other than that it is great night out.
The place is nice and clean but still needs lots of work. The chairs in the theater are the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat on. Plus they're old, which means they have no headrest..you can't sit comfortably on the chair. If you're over 6' 3 like myself, you'll hate yourself. There's not leg room.
This was my first time at this theater. I was confused because outside said empire theaters, but it was cineplex. Anyway the screen size is fair seating is nice would have gave it a 4 but the staff made it different. They were helpful and polite the guy even help me do my transaction which is a small thing but it made it a pleasant experience.
This movie theatre is now closed. Since ownership changed, this theatre is starting to look cleaner and better run. It is still pretty outdated with many broken, uncomfortable, or squeaky seats. There is another theatre a few minutes drive away but that is also in the same category. I guess it is better than having a condominium tower in its place. Staff are very friendly. This location is now closed due to the opening of a new movie theatre in West Vancouver.
We prefer this one over some large ones in Downtown Vancouver since it's quieter and more secluded. But the seats aren't the most comfortable and it doesn't show every major blockbuster. It's a nice, oldish little theater.
Decent showtimes, good selection, super friendly staff. The theater is old and kind of shows it - my only real complaint is the ancient and mildly uncomfortable seating. Other than that it's not a bad little theater for catching a quick movie on the fly.
