Fifth Avenue Cinemas

Honestly disappointed with the prices and the cinema quality. Tuesday prices for screenings are good, but a popcorn and soda “large” size combo for 20 dollars is nuts. I don’t know if all screens are like this, but the auditorium that we went I believe it was screen number 5 was super low, with almost zero inclination and with a less-than-regular-sized screen. If this was meant to be an “intimate” theatre, I guess they got away with it. On the positive side, there’s a good selection of meals and drinks in the bar inside the cinema, and the location is excellent.

A small, cute, and clean movie theater. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. Paid street parking is available.

MICE!! I thought the theatre was a bit dirty when I sat down. The cupholders were sticky. But the lights were on because we were early, so I thought maybe I was being picky. Then after a few mins a mouse ran across the bottom of the screen. I thought maybe that’s more common than you think, and we decided to stay, but then a mouse ran past my feet as well. ‍ and we had to call it. They did give a refund no problem, I wish I asked for our food and drink refunded as well as I wouldn’t have paid $20 for popcorn and a pop at home.

Nice theater just at the edge of Kits. Clean and comfortable seats. Nice staff. It had the movie I wanted to see. I am not sure what else you want to know about movie theaters, dear reader.

I’ve been coming to this location for over four years, and while cleanliness has never been their strong suit, it’s disappointing to see that poor maintenance has now become the norm across many Cineplex theatres. Most concerning: on July 18 at 7:30 pm, I saw a mouse in auditorium #4. Be aware! nnAfter reading reviews from other locations, it seems this isn’t an isolated issue, there may be a larger pest problem throughout their branches, and no one appears to be addressing it. Very frustrating and disappointing
