We came for the movie but ended up leaving impressed by the customer service just as much! We were a bit bummed at first because the special swag that was supposed to be given out wasn’t available… but then Gregor the customer service hero with the cool hair! totally saved the day.nnHe actually went to the back, searched around, and came out with treats for our whole family — including the kids. Honestly, that kind of effort is rare these days and it made the night feel extra special.nnThe movie was great, the vibe was great, and thanks to Gregor and the team, we left smiling. We’ll definitely be back — and highly recommend this location for a truly family-friendly, above-and-beyond experience!
It had been a long while since I've been to an actual movie theatre and I have to say, I missed it. Recently seeing a few movies at Scotiabank Theatre, right in the heart of Downtown Vancouver, I was reminded of how cool actually going to the movies is, something I used to love doing when I was a kid escaping boredom in a small town. What's cool about this theatre is the variety of screens, from IMAX to SCREENX, some movies just have to be seen on the big screen to do them justice. So glad this theatre has survived and I don't have to drive to the suburbs to go to one!
I had a fantastic time catching a blockbuster at the Scotiabank Theatre. This is a huge, modern multiplex right in the heart of downtown, making it a perfect spot for a night out .nnThe theatre was clean, and the staff I interacted with were efficient and friendly. We saw the film on one of the premium screens, and the sound and visual effects were top-notch, and not forgetting the amazing D-BOX seats, it really makes a difference for a big action movie . The seats in our theatre were comfortable and felt fairly new. While the concession choices are what you'd expect, the popcorn was fresh and tasty, and I love that they have the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines to mix your own drinks .nnA heads-up for those driving: it's part of a mall complex, so there is underground pay parking available. I'd recommend using a SCENE card for points if you have one . I'll definitely be returning and would recommend this theatre for anyone looking to see the latest films.
Movies , movies movies . This is a great theatre to watch the latest and greatest movies. The theatre is in the heart of downtown and in the area that is very busy. The atmosphere is great and my wife and I were excited to see Fantastic Four. Definitely a great movie theatre to see the latest and greatest blockbuster. We had a great time.
Came to Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver to watch Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle and had a fun experience overall. The theatre has that unique downtown vibe — riding the long escalator up to the lobby feels like you’re heading into something big. The massive standee and posters made for a great photo spot before the movie, and the IMAX/UltraAVX screens really delivered with sharp visuals and booming sound.nnSeating was comfortable and the atmosphere inside the theatre made the movie even more exciting. That said, the lobby and washrooms could use some improvement in terms of hygiene, and the pop fountain area really needed a good clean.nnAll in all, it was still a solid night out — the movie presentation was excellent, and this theatre remains one of the go-to spots in downtown Vancouver for big releases.
