Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver

Caught a Saturday matinee here a few days ago and honestly the recliner seats in the VIP auditorium made it hard to go back to a regular theater. Staff at the box office were friendly and pointed us toward the shorter concession line, which saved a good ten minutes before the trailers started. The sound system was crisp without being overwhelming, and the downtown location means you can just wander around Robson afterward for food. Parking nearby is pricey, but grabbing an early evening show made the whole outing feel easy and low stress.

Went to see a movie at 2:30pm on a Monday. Parking for a couple of hours was a bit high on its own and I needed to get more than two saw Disclosure Day with a run time of approx. 2.5 hours which jumped to the next tier. Parking ended up being $16+taxes = $21 for the 3 hours which was not so great. Public transit to the location is at least a 5-10 minute walk away so best to go that route and save the high parking cost, especially if you want to do anything afterwards. It does go to $8 for 8 hours after 5pm so keep that in mind when you do show up.nnAs for the theater itself, it was kept quite clean, bathrooms as well. Our movie was on the 3rd floor but concessions were closed on the same floor and had to go to the 2nd floor for them. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind if you're a person who has any accessibility issues.nnThe inside of the theater room itself felt a bit on the older side. The screen felt smaller than the ones at the Park Royal theater and the seats looked like the same ones since the theater opened.nnA passable experience, though there is room for the theater to make a bit of investment on the seats and screen to make it more memorable. Pricing is still crazy on concessions, but that's a Canadian movie industry issue in itself.

Good downtown multiplex with solid screen variety, IMAX and UltraAVX included. Concessions are decent with fresh popcorn and a fun mix-your-own soda machine, though a bit pricey. Newer leather seats downstairs are way more comfortable than the older seats upstairs. Staff were friendly and helpful. Convenient central location for a movie night!

I had a fantastic time catching a blockbuster at the Scotiabank Theatre.This is a huge, modern multiplex right in the heart of downtown, making it a perfect spot for a night out .nnThe theatre was clean, and the staff I interacted with were efficient and friendly. We saw the film on one of the premium screens, and the sound and visual effects were top-notch, and not forgetting the amazing D-BOX seats, it really makes a difference for a big action movie . The seats in our theatre were comfortable and felt fairly new. While the concession choices are what you'd expect, the popcorn was fresh and tasty, and I love that they have the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines to mix your own drinks .nnA heads-up for those driving: it's part of a mall complex, so there is underground pay parking available. I'd recommend using a SCENE card for points if you have one . I'll definitely be returning and would recommend this theatre for anyone looking to see the latest films.

Last Saturday afternoon I swung by Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver while my dog waited in the car with the windows down and some water, and I have to say the lobby was wonderfully air-conditioned and calm before the matinee crowd really picked up. The staff at the concession stand were super friendly and patient while I fumbled through my wallet, which honestly made the whole visit feel way more relaxed. The massive screens and sound system in the auditorium are genuinely impressive, way better than what I expected for a weekend showing. Not a pet-friendly spot obviously, but my pup was totally fine for a couple hours and I got to enjoy a proper cinema experience without breaking the bank on snacks.
