The Homestead Inn

Location and price are great. Shuttle to Sunshine Village right our front was super convenient. Parking is limited and wifi isn’t included. We had the heat up all the way just to be comfortable, a bit run down but for the price it’s great. Wouldn’t want to stay more than a couple nights though

Awfully noisy, could hear everyone walking around all night. Very itchy bed sheets, cheap cleaning products used or extremely low quality bedding. Only positive was spa access next door.

The hotel room was run down. We were in a pet friendly room, which may contribute to the situation. The tiles in the bathroom were cracked so the toilet moved. No control of heat so the room was 15 degrees. There was a vent outside of the room under the ash tray. If someone was smoking there, the bathroom smelled strongly of smoke.

Value for the money. Rooms are well worth the dollar you pay for them. There's no luxury there but I don't care much about 5 star hotels, I'm always somewhere outside and only go back to my room to sleep. Great location too, only a few hundred meters from downtown. Would recommend it to others and would definitely stay there again.

Just the basics! An older building that feels old, but is cozy and warm. Not fancy or brand new, but has charm if you're not picky. With a stay, they do include amenities shared with the lodge across the street. Very friendly and professional staff, would stay again.
