The historic King Edward Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Banff, right on Banff Ave. and Caribou St. It was built in 1904 and is the second oldest hotel in Banff after the Banff Springs Hotel. Over the years it has been well kept and it features 21 modern rooms with all contemporary amenities to relax and enjoy. It offers friendly and helpful staff as well as reasonable rates. The majority of sights, shopping, dining, events and entertainment in Banff are within a 2 block radius of the King Edward Hotel. It's like "Downtown living in middle of the Wilderness."

Comfy room, easy check-in, great location! As long as you aren't looking for luxury it's a perfectly comfortable place to stay in Banff. Would definitely stay again!

Rooms are small but tidy and comfortable. Front desk was very helpful and given the poor weather on this trip I was thankful for the heated parkade. If you are hoping to walk to around Banff this hotel is right downtown.

Excellent location with a 5 minute walk to everything in downtown Banff. The staff were very friendly and helpful, parking was not super convenient with luggage but was nice to have. The room was not very nice however - floors and bathroom need complete makeovers and just felt dirty because they're so old and dated. The furniture and set up were okay but it's not easy to relax when you don't want to take your shoes off or use the shower. That being said, I'd stay there again because of everything else.

Great hotel with small clean rooms, excellent value and easily the best location in Banff. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again anytime.

Staff are great. Ok rooms with nice tv, and fireplace. A bit pricey tho for a small room, bed was needing a replacement. no ac in room. Parking is a short walk.
