Had a great lunch experience here, for my first visit. The staff were friendly and very attentive, and we were seated, ordered and served lunch faster than expected. Especially as it was busier than expected. The menu is a good size, without endless options. So many dishes looked good enough to invite return visits. We sat out on the covered patio, under space heaters that made me feel like bread in a toaster. Thankfully the server lowered it for us. I had the Cowboy salad, and while plentiful and tasty, my sole complaint was the dressing was too light. The rougher wooden tabletops aren't smooth, and there was long blind hair stuck in ours. Must be very hard to keep clean. Then the closet size washroom was claustrophobic, and washing my hands made the air dryer sensor trigger and blow the water everywhere. Whoever designed this didn't try using it too. Not a big deal tho, I'd go back.
Sooooooo, it was not busy and inside was nice. Our server gave us our drinks and we waited at least over 30 min for our meal. I ordered the spicy crispy chicken and my wife got the turkey dip. My burger wasn't really hot nor spicy and my wife's meal was dry and rough to eat. We saw our server soon as we got our meals and did not even offer us water or a refill in our drinks, she even walked by us at least 5 times with a empty glass and did not even talk to us. My meal was okay, our server was not good at all, and the prices were too high.
Great atmosphere and service. Nachos were pretty darn tasty but my friend's macaroni bites were stone cold. The waitress replaced them immediately! Also, this place had an impressive selection of local beers!!
Absolutely my fave pub restaurant in the city of Victoria & in West Vic/Esquimalt. How they consistently not only hit the mark every time but somehow get better each time I eat the same thing over & over, I’m really not sure, but the WOW factor is there. Super friendly and professional service, awesome bar/mixologist, food yum, hot, crispy, oozing delightful goodness over & over again! As always, my burger, the BBQ Bacon cheese burger, amazing, the Parm fries, crisp, just enough parm, garlic aioli & the deep fried mac 'n cheese balls with an amazing marina sauce with a full on 'the real deal' cold vodka with olives martini......They get it! Service, taste, presentation & vibe! Bravo Brown's Crafthouse Vic West on Wilson Dt, just over the bridge from dt Vic. You are the best! This was my farewell martini burger dinner as I am moving to The Okanagan next week, but might have to pop in for just one more before I go. And that martini! A simple thing really but rarely does one get it as right as tonight! Thank you! xB
My boyfriend's buddy Matt recommended this place for its French Dip stated it was so good that even his dad, the pickiest food critic he knows, liked it. My boyfriend is sold on the French Dip, saying it is the best tasting beef dip he ever tasted. I'm more interested in trying out other entree choices such as the crispy chicken ramen. Next visit I'll try the salads as they seem interesting but too full for this time around.
I come here on my lunch break all the time with my co workers. We are building the high rises across the road. The staff is always very attentive, polite and quick with service as they can tell we are on a time crunch. The food is always amazing, consistent and by far the best beer list in the city. GO HERE !!!!
The atmosphere is a wide open concept. Great place to watch some sports. The food was great. Would have been better if there was more wing flavour options. The fries were nothing special. Frozen fries that any restaurant could deep fry up. Expensive for what you are getting. I'll go back but I will try something else.
This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The service was poor, the menu was overpriced, and the staff were rude. I had a gift card, and when it didn't work the first time, they simply wouldn't accept it. Never in my life have I seen service so disgraceful. I will never go back here. I hope to warn as many people as possible that they should stay far away from this place. Please stay away and go somewhere better.
Fairly nice environment, pretty good beer selction, beer is cold & food is pretty good. Staff have always been friendly and accommodating the times I have been there. The open up patio during nice weather is great.
Went there for the Superbowl, we didn't plan ahead and did not have a reservation but they were nice enough to find us a spot. It was a great time. The food is a bit pricey but it is really delicious, doesn't feel like cheap boring pub food but a few notches higher and was pleasantly surprised.Food: 5/5
