Prepare to have your sushi cravings satisfied like never before at this place – it's hands down the best in Vancouver.nnLet's talk about the staff – they're simply amazing. Seriously, the level of kindness and respect you'll receive from them is out of this world. Flora, in particular, went above and beyond, treating us like royalty.nnNow, onto the food. The portions? Generous doesn't even begin to describe it – they're the best in town, no contest. And the taste? It's like they've unlocked the secrets of flavor from another dimension.nnBut wait, there's more – if you dine in, the presentation of the dishes will blow you away. It's like a work of art on your plate.nnSo, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You won't regret it.
We've been to Sushi Mura in the River District a few times now and we've never come away disappointed.nnThe greeters at the door seat you very quickly and manage their space well. The servers come quickly and respond throughout your meal attentively using technology.nnOne of my favorite memories is of eating Okonomiyaki in Osaka and even though it takes a bit long, I always order it when I see it on the menu. It was well worth the wait and I enjoyed a good quarter of it! Much too large to eat alone and a great appetizer to share in a group.nnI really enjoyed the special Spider Roll. It hadnSoft Shell Crab i love how crunchy it is!, Lettuce, Cucumber, Mayo Outside: Masago, Special Sauce.nnMy husband tried the Seafood Udon and it was hot, spicy and filled with prawns, squid and fish - it was delicious and he loved it!nnThe restaurant itself is always busy especially in the evenings, so good to reserve but they also seat you pretty quickly if you walk in.nnParking is located at the Save-On Parking underground or on the street.nnIt's our local Sushi restaurant right in the River District, so we are here often. Always interesting to people watch here, and comfortable if you're in a group, a date or with your family.
My brother just had a second baby and that means the house gets louder and timing sucks at times haha.nnWe are blessed to have a sushi restaurant in the river district. My brother and his wife had always ordered here and had never had a negative experience. So a few days ago we wanted to dine out but the kids are a handful at times. So we got take out.nnAll the items were delicious and generous in portion. We got the dragon roll, house roll, ebi roll, spicy salmon roll, cali roll, chopped scallop roll, dynamite rolls, beef yaki udon, and okonomi yaki. Absolutely delicious and very satisfying.nnYou’re not just a great staple in the river district. You’re also a great staple in our households. Please let your whole staff know this. Let them know they are appreciated by the community
I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this yet, as we’ve been visiting since it opened. It’s always clean, busy, and brightly lit. The staff are nice and it only take a long time for food when it’s busy at night.nnTheir wild salmon and tuna is pretty good. Their tuna volcano roll has too much sauce but is very fancy and delicious. The udon tempura, chicken, kitsune is just average, I don’t think it’s worth it. I would not get their calamari, it’s always oily and dry we’ve tried it twice now, I would just stick with chicken karaage. Their sunomono is good too if you want to treat yourself.nnThey’ve given me the wrong food for take out on 2-3 occasions, I should have just ordered in person because I could tell the staff on the phone were very confused, could barely understand what I was saying, and didn’t know what was on their menu probably solvable with training.nnI did take off another star overall because I feel like they are raising their prices a lot more than other comparable, sushi restaurants. We’ve ordered pretty much the same items since their opening and our bill is now astronomical. Unfortunately this can no longer be our go-to, but it’s convenient and still worth it for others to try.
Ordered over the phone, fast and efficient. Got the order right when I picked it up. Said it will be ready in 15 minutes. Took me 17 minutes to get there and it was ready when I walked in. Been eating at Sushi Mura since they first opened up on Oak Street.
