LOCAL Public Eatery River District

Tonight we went to Local for dinner and the atmosphere was upbeat but quiet enough to talk and hear each other. I liked how there wasn’t loud music too. I had the Local Burger and my friend had a burger suitable for vegans House Made Veggie Burger. Both were delicious along with the fries, of course! The burger was better than typical pub food. Our server was very friendly, always greeting us with a smile. Tonight was trivia night every Wednesday at 7:00 pm. We stuck around for awhile to watch and it was fun. Wish we had joined in. Next time I’m gathering with friends, I’m going to suggest the Local Public Eatery in the River District and go on a Wednesday evening for trivia night! The location is great too. When we come in this area during the day, it's great with the path for biking and walking so can stop here for lunch or a break.

I went in for weekend brunch. The place was big, with 2 levels la and a patio.nI sat in the patio area and ordered Corned Beef Hash 19CAD. It was good, I like the crispy baby potatoes a lot. The only thing I hope was that it should have at least a toast to go with it, that would have made the dish complete.nThe service was fast and the staff were very nice and attentive. The place was clean and comfortable. Nice spot for brunch.

Just came in with my mom for a quick bite to eat. I got the tempura shrimp and it was delicious. The sauces were yummy and I loved the jalapenos with it and the crisp. My mom and I shared a side of fries which was also great and the sauce was really good.nnAmple amount of seating inside and outside. We sat outside and it was not busy at all when we went. Staff are friendly and they welcome dogs on the patio as well! Seems new based on the seats and tables but still has that welcoming vibe.

Excellent service, and a tasty lunch. The tuna poke bowl thanks to our server's recommendation was especially good. Always appreciate when a place goes the extra mile on bathroom decor, and they did. Enjoyed ourselves on the patio - fun people watching but they need to clean the cobwebs from the patio railing!.

So happy to have this restaurant in River District.nnService is consistently awesome and menu has something for everyone. Think 100% Earl's / Joey's quality,flavour at 80% of the $$$.nnMy regular go to's are the loaded potatoes and their take on sangria with Fireball ... checkout the pictures.nnIf you are driving recommend you take advantage of the free parking underground.
