Sushi Jiro

Nice location in the heart of Cook st Village, small little Restuarant to dine in or take out. Food is very tasty and service is friendly. Prices are abit higher then others but worth it if you know what your ordering. Recommend

Not worth the price for the sushi, prices matches a high end restaurant but the quality does not meet the price and the quantity is underwhelming. The spicy salmon had hot sauce over it, just didn’t taste the sushi. Place is clean, service was again mediocre. We were not attended for a long time. Disappointed.

I am so particular about the sushi I eat, and this did not disappoint. I had a delicious avocado tuna salad which was so fresh and good. Then we had the tuna with fried rice, as well as the salmon tempura roll. It was all delicious, and I appreciated the fusion of some of the dishes. We will definitely be eating there again.

This newish, small, unpretentious yet elegant Japanese sushi restaurant in Cook Street Village merits its very good ratings. Compared to many of its stodgier peers in Victoria, Sushi Jiro innovates here and there without sacrificing the basics. We tried a number of their signature dishes, including the scrumptious maguro crispy rice and the hearty miso nabe. Presentation was beautiful and taste and freshness were superb.

Always been my favorite sushi place in town! Friendly service and they have fresh and creative dishes. Just tried their new menu, Zuke Don and Tobiko Don and they are amazing! Highly recommended!!!

Great service and good place, but sushi quality is worse than the grocery store and it’s super overpriced. ”Spicy” tofu also wasn’t spicy

We had the agedashi, edamame, and Asian salad with some warm sake. They were all tasty and very satisfying especially the Asian salad with wild salmon. The salad had a miso dressing which tied the ingredients nicely together. I'll definitely return for more.Food: 5/5

WORMS IN THEIR FOOD!!! This restaurant is in my estimation probably the lowest of the low. They lie and that is why I gave them a low rating. I don't want to support anyone or anything ever that thinks it's ok TO LIE to your face. They are because of this- a very poor restaurant choice and I would not support their restaurant ever again. I found a worm in my food and they called it a NOODLE!! But it was MOVING. Just the worst thing you could ever do is support this restaurant. Lying has its own energy and I'm sure it's in their food. As are the worms. Don't go there!!

What a great find! Everything was excellent, Wild Salmon Sashimi, yubu Inari, gyoza, poke crispy rice and a red wave roll. It was mid week and wasn't busy. We felt very well looked after. Thank you I'll definitely return on my next trip to Victoria.Food: 5/5
