Because of our previous experience in the food industry, we decided to open a restaurant that offered food to clients that was both delicious and healthy!We have learned to develop a customer-focused mindset. Excellent food and services! I made a quick stop to pick up some food before taking a ferry back to the U.S. We ordered a teriyaki chicken and tuna sushi bowl. The food was ready within 10 minutes and both dishes were very fresh and tasty. The tuna bowl with the spicy sauce called Gochujang if you are familiar with Korean food was filled with flavor. The owner provided more than excellent service - she brought us some cold water while we were waiting for the food to go and perfectly packed the dishes at our convenience. Her hospitality was one of highlights of our trip in Victoria. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants fresh and healthy meals.
I had no idea that a truly authentic Japanese eatery place exists. This restaurant is located on the first floor of a building. I walked by it many times. Food is authentic. The couple Magarete and Don? running the restaurant make truly authentic Japanese/Korean style food. They are super friendly. The food tastes like what I had in Japan. My avocado sushi is delicious. Reasonably priced. Great value for the price you pay. I would go back to try other vegan Japanese food without any hesitations.
Great counter service and lots to choose from! I ordered avocado rolls, a Philly roll and a Teriyaki Noodle Box with Veggies and Tofu. They've been here for 9 years!
We ended up here by accident after a long day of travel, and it was phenomenal. The service was outstanding, the business is family owned and they were both making the sushi and serving us. Highly recommend the smoked salmon, it was delicious. After finding out we were from out of town, the owners gave us dessert on the house! Great experience.
Words cannot describe how much I love this place. I had the Salmon poke bowl for the first time ever and the food alone is worth giving it 5 stars not to mention the impeccable service. The chef here is a genius. Thank you
We went to victoria for our honeymoon and tried this restaurant, the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Sushi is fresh and very tasty. Prices are reasonable. I do recommend this sushi and will definitely come back.
Great little sushi spot with takeout sushi as well as cooked food. The sushi here is some of the best you’ll find downtown, always fresh and delicious. The owners also go above and beyond to be friendly and fun every day of the week. Highly recommended if you’re in the mood for a sushi fix.
We had the best salmon and avocado sushi, bento box and miso soup during our visit to Victoria! The salmon and avocado was so so fresh and the quality of the meals were very high, it’s clear the best ingredients are sourced. In addition, the owners are the most warm and inviting people, it truly felt like we were having food over at a relatives. Thank you for your hospitality and we highly recommend Sushi Time Express!!
I live down the street and never even knew this existed! Will definitely have to come back, it’s some of the best Japanese food in Victoria!
Absolute gem. Owners were super friendly and thoughtful. We got sashimi, nigiri, unagi roll, and Alaska roll. Incredibly fresh and generous portions. We also had some miso soup, which was so flavourful. If we lived nearby, we'd probably go once a week, easily.Food: 5/5
