SpringHill Suites by Marriott Anchorage University Lake

Minus the unusual traffic between rooms going strong at 2 am with the knocking and slamming doors tonight, this place has become a favorite stay when I come to Anchorage and stay on short to no notice. The two ladies that work evenings at the front desk are hilarious and very welcoming. The rooms are always very clean, love the style, very comfortable. Again, definitely a favorite for me here in town. Good job Marriott!

This is a cool hotel with convenient location. The hotel has new rooms with modern layouts. The rooms all come with microwaves and mini refrigerators. The location is close to both downtown and midtown. The breakfast in the morning is pretty basic but tasty. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. All and all this is a great hotel for an extended stay in Anchorage.

Well, I didn't stay there myself but I visited a guest who was there for a couple nights. It was a very pretty atmosphere when I walked in and the room my friend stayed in looked nice. I didn't notice any weird smells and the temperature was good. For the short moment I spent there, it looked like a nice hotel.

The rooms here are nice. If you come with a group just know that the bathroom does not have a lock on it. It uses a sliding door which definitely helps to save space. If you want to take a bath this would not be the right location for you. They only have a shower. I would give the location four stars but there's a stain on my bedspread that they did not see and I tried to show it to the cleaning people as a hint but they did not replace it. Otherwise the air conditioning system works great the heating system works great. I would stay here again.

Loved the hotel. Loved the view. Loved the staff! The hotel was clean and appeared to be brand new from top to bottom. The staff was responsive, helpful, and made the experience very pleasurable. The view from the room was of a river with trees, a walking path, and mountains in the distance. It was so relaxing. Can't wait to stay here again!
