Hotel is lovely but very aged. Visit if you enjoy ambiance of the locale. Great service and wonderful vintage Alaskan feel. Rooms are not upscale by any means but not bad either. Please be aware that some have had haunting experiences here. I've stayed here twice and only noticed it once. (not joking).

Beautiful lobby and room. We were on a high floor facing the ocean and the view was so perfect we couldn't bear to close the curtains, even at night. The staff was very kind and generous. Room service was delicious. Get the seafood chowder and a glass of the Riesling. You won't be disappointed.

Enjoyed visiting the shops in the hotel prior to my company's Christmas party. Food at the event was great. Was able to find close handicapped parking on the street. One downfall was the bathrooms which need a renovation.

Fletcher's Restaurant in The Hotel Captain Cook is excellent! It's not fancy, but the food is fabulous, and affordable. The salads, pizzas, meat loaf, pastas, and key lime pie are exceptional. Yummy food, go get some.

This place is definitely 5 star. 5 star everything. They have multiple classy resturants, mini strip mall inside, giant conference rooms, athletic club, pool, and elegant rooms. The Captain Cook is first class all the way.
