I enjoyed my stay here mainly because the front desk staff was so friendly and welcoming. Esteban and Lyn are fantastic!nnIt’s an older Sheraton but it’s still very nice, comfortable and doesn’t smell funny. Looks nice inside, beds are comfortable and it was clean. This is better than most hotels in Alaska. Location is good, it’s quiet. I’d absolutely stay here again, especially since my experience with the staff was so good.
Check in easy. Had trouble with key working on second day. Actually had to have the door taken off for access to the room. Crandall was great and kept me informed. Yong and Dennis at the bar are the best. Although it was frustrating, they came through at the end. Would recommend this hotel. Breakfast bar had lots of variety. Good location.
My husband and I spent 2 nights here. We came to see the Iditarod. The hotel is very inviting and has a lovely main lobby with many seating areas and two restaurants.nOur room was clean, had a king bed, and the mattress was unbelievably comfortable. I usually toss and turn at night, and I didn't move once.nAnother plus was that it was dog friendly. It seems that most of Anchorage is dog friendly, which made our stay even better.nParking was easy in the garage.nWe will definitely come back to the Sheraton in Anchorage.
My stay here was pretty good. Friendly staff and the rooms are clean. A bit outdated and the breakfast buffet is quite expensive costing $27. Better to order what you want instead of a buffet. The room has a vent that is on all the time which can dry you up. Make sure you have saline spray for your nose and plenty of lotion for your skin.
No hot water, fridge didn’t work, no one was able to get us a room we could shower in or refund anything for me. I booked the hotel only to get a warm night sleep and shower and did not deliver. They didn’t check my id on checkin or help with parking, breakfast, etc. no drinking fountains or anywhere to fill up my water bottle either. I stayed at four point downtown earlier in the week and it was way better than this place.
