Sobeys - Millrise Plaza

I go to this store 2 or 3 times a week. The staff has been always great. It's never full and the prices are reasonable. The flower department is a highlight. My issue is that this location has always been a bit depressing. Not well lit, fewer products, etc. That's ok. But now the recent renovation is a massive downgrade for the community. It went from a warm and inviting building with character to a cold, generic and unnecessarily lit storefront. Whoever is designing these renos is damaging the brand. Inside, it's getting worse. Less and white cold lighting, products have no criteria for location. Shampoo in front of cheese fridge is an example see pics. It's been like a year and it gets worse every time. Really a downgrade for the community.

Average experience here. Store was clean, team members were polite, and the lighting was fresh.nnHowever, the store was notably inaccessible with a broken washroom, slim aisles, and endless bins blocking wider routes.nnThe flower department was better than others at Supermarkets, and I hope the florists receive recognition for that.

I enjoy this location of Sobeys. I come here quite a bit, and It has great food, especially from the Bakery. Croissants are always fresh.nThe reason it's a 3 star and not higher rating is because of the Produce manager Calvin. Very rude manager, and unprofessional behaviour. Not the person you would want to get assistance from.nConcluding of this managers behaviour that is impatient and aggressive too.

Overall I really like shopping here, especially after the latest renovations, most of the workers here are very helpful, they are always there to assist me when I ask them where certain items can be found. However, I am giving this location a 2 star review because I was shopping here today at around 5 pm, April 27th and I saw a manager named Calvin in the produce department looking at his name tag. He gave me a very nasty look as if I am doing something wrong. This made me feel very uncomfortable and I was very disappointed to be treated in such a rude way. I do not trust this manager. Anyone who shops here I recommend stay away from this manager and avoid contact with him.

I didn't know this location has Sensory Mondays. The lights are dimmed, there are fewer lights in the cases and there is no music.nI also didn't know how much I would appreciate this type of shopping experience.nI don't frequent this location, but I can see myself shopping here more often on Mondays.
