I experienced the WORST customer service where I had to go from one Safeway, denied my return cause $50+ was ‘too high’ and customer service also stated I had to return to the ‘same store’. ‍‍nnSo I spent $10+ in gas and 1/2+ hour drive back to get back here only to get DENIED my return by a supposed manager stating that I needed to ‘come back tomorrow’ and she walked away from me. ‍nnI called customer service before 7pm after going back into my vehicle and there wasn’t anyone working for ‘customer service’, only ‘special orders. ‍nnSo after the call I calmly walk back into the store and ask the pharmacy if I’m able to do the stunt through them, which the actual Pharmacy owner addressed. She stated that cause her pharmacy is actually a separate entity and that the purchase was not ‘put through her account’, that they couldn’t do the refund, but she called customer service for me and stated they should be able to do it.nnAfter a brief call she said you can go right now and they’ll take care of you!nnI headed there and was greeted by ‘Kat’ who was extremely personable and friendly! She said I don’t know who you dealt with, but I can do this for you since you’ve got your receipt and everything!nnI was so elated I didn’t have to spent another couple hours driving back and forth spending more on gas than the refund was worth and I went back to say ‘Thank You’ to the Pharmacy Owner and then I decided that I should buy Kat a $10 gift card from the in-store Starbucks to give her a WELL DESERVED TREAT!nnI surprised Kat and she tried to decline, but ended up taking it!nnI’m so THANKFUL that people like her KNOW what REAL ‘customer service’ is!nnI originally came here for a vase for a floral arrangement. Their selection was small, but the selection of ready made arrangements was HUGE! I was very impressed with the quality and selection of what they had in stock except for vases
Bought some strawberries when I was there. DELICIOUS. Not one was bruised or moldy. They were beautifully sweet...no sour ones and huge. Getting more.
Watchout from this Safeway and the parking lot. Been going there for a while but it got pretty bad. I went there last weekend and on the way out. A random person scratched my car with a screwdriver, I saw him in the rear camera while I was reversing. He approached the car while walking his bike. I heard the scratch and drove up to him and asked him why he scratched my car. He swore at me.nnWhen i talked to security later that night as I clearly did not want to leave my car there without surveillance. He was useless and told me to talk to customer service which was not much of help. I had taken pictures and want to share with everyone as a heads up as the individual seems to always be around.nnI am never going to this Safeway again as they didn't care whatsoever about what happened. I was just grabbing a few things and leaving.
Clean well laid out store. No cashiers. Self checkout only. Of the 9 items I price checked against superstore: 3 were 5-10% cheaper here, and 1 was the same price. The other 5 were 5-20% cheaper at Superstore. The same items at the Coop 4 blocks west of here were all significantly 20% or more cheaper here than at Coop.
Just watched loss prevention officers brutally beat a man to the pavement in front of the main entrance. Pretty traumatizing to witness something like that and I really hope the man is okay. It's hard to believe that 4 years ago Calgary police bought groceries for somebody shoplifting at this store. If anyone knows a lawyer so I can get Safeway to cover my counseling after watching that, please get a hold of me, thank you.
