Lina's, Italian Supermercato

Arguably the best grocery store in the city. Amazing prices in the deli for meat and cheeses and the workers are all super kind and helpful. Had an employee come up to let us know they had wine and cheese tastings going on. Had a variety of wines to try and a cheese to sample, it was incredible. Best food shopping experience by far. Only wish the store was bigger and had more things. The staff are all super friendly and welcoming. Feels very ‘neighbourly’. 12/10 all around.

I had another exceptional experience at Lina's! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The selection of fresh bakery items, artisanal cheeses, and authentic Italian products is outstanding. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their products, offering great recommendations and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, making every meal I prepare at home taste like I know how to cook. If you want pre-made meals, they have some incredible sandwiches and the best pizza!!!nFeel free to come for some of their delicious coffee and a dessert, sit down and relax!nI highly recommend this market to anyone who values high-quality, authentic Italian fare. It's been 4 years since this Lina's location has opened on 130th and I can confidently say that they have provided a valuable service to me within that time. After replacing the organic grocery market that I used to frequent, I was skeptical whether an Italian grocery store would fill the same void that was left, but thankfully that worry quickly disappeared on Lina's opening day. There are a lot of reasons I go here - Party favours, dinner ingredients, a night-out for coffee - but lately, I find myself going to Lina's for lunch for their margarita pizza's, sandwich's, cannoli's, and other delectable desserts. Shepard 130th wouldn't be the same without this Italian Grocery Store. Cheers!

Really enjoyed lunch there. Desserts are nice, food was filling albeit a little salty and pressed panini was stone cold inside cheese wasn't even melting but main was with the purchases instore.nDid a wine tasting and was told the bottle was on offer at $25, thought ok why not. Husband went to pay and was charged $28. It doesn't seem like a big deal but I felt a little duped on purpose.nWith no prices on the wine seems that they can get you to pay whatever they decide at the till.nWill eat here again mainly dessert but will only purchase goods that are actually priced.

Lina's has a great Italian deli and food but they can't seem to make a carbonara that isn't scrambled eggs, noodles, and raw guanciale/pancetta for the life of them. I wrote them about it but they ignored my email. Sad really. So much missed potential.
