Real Canadian Superstore Heritage Meadows Way

Went here shopping yesterday.nGreat selection of fruit and veggies.nGot some fish and seafood, too. All fresh and affordable.nFloor looked really bad but let's face it, it is mostly because of us...the clients.nAsked staff member for a rug to clean we made a bit of mess, but she could not care less.

First off, arguing with customers is not ok. 2nd, putting a sign up that says something is 30% off and then it isn't is not ok. That's called baiting and when I called the till manager out on it I was yelled at by staff. Like screamed at by the till lady. I left crying and my kid left crying. I am going back to Walmart where prices are clearly marked and staff doesn't want to fight customers. I left years ago for bad customer service and prices constantly being wrong. I made a mistake coming back.

Superstore is one of the lowest cost grocery stores you can go to, especially if you pair with a loyalty card and PC MasterCard. However, at this location be careful about selecting your fruit as almost every time after buying strawberries and raspberries I get home and 1/3 of the clam shell package is squishy and rotting and I have to throw away. Same problem with watermelons I’ve bought here, 1/2 the time I get home and they are spoiled inside even though they looked fine on the outside. This store will not do refunds or exchanges on bad produce, even if you bring it in the next day so buyer beware! I know fruit is a tricky and fragile item to stock in stores, but this is some of the worst condition fruit and vegetables I’ve seen in Calgary. The produce manager should go get a lesson from the vendors at the Calgary Farmer’s Market just down the street, they know how to buy and sell quality fruit and vegetables!

Shrinkflation in the deli has reached new lows. $5 for a tuna sandwich with 2/3 more stale bread than filling in insane.

Shopped Tuesday and had a great experience. Everything I needed was stocked and fresh. Cashier Jeremy was fast and efficient. He even told me about an item I bought that had great PC points.nLeft quickly and happy with my visit!
