People. If you are having a bad day, maybe stay home instead of going in to work and bringing others down because of your own problems. I shop this location very frequently as I've always had good experience and it's a nice location. Today I got the worst cashier I've seen in quite some time. Very rude and unprofessional. We come to buy food, it's a neccesary thing. We all need to do it. Experiences like this, encountering people who clearly do not want to be doing what they are doing is unnecessary. This encounter will keep me from returning to this store. There is no need to treat ANYONE in that manner. If You cannot at least act like an adult and do your job with a basic level of courtesy then maybe just stay home or better yet, get a different career that doesn't involve customer service or interacting with other people. Its so sad to see people treating other people with such negativity...one very bad experience often can erase a thousand good ones. Js.

DON’T go here if you want fresh lettuce or salmon filets. DO go if you want a self checkout that will harass you for the entire transaction about weight mismatches. Also the store smells like rotting meat—not sure what is going on with this location!

Save-on 78 Ave.NW location - nice staff but paralyzed by mindless management rules. I went to pick up a cake and guess what: “my cake person is on a break and you have to wait 25-30 minutes to have written on the cake “Happy Birthday, me!” To compromise, I accepted the little cheap plastic Happy Birthday sign, but c’mon! How much lower the bar can go?! Only a few years ago they would make a small chocolate disk and write on it, without any complications… that time is gone. The new reality is based on the following cashier explanation after chatting with a manager - the writing may not come out nice if it’s done by someone else than a “cake person!” It’s my new revelation how the “cake person” cursive writing skills would secure a lifetime employment with Save-on - note to manager: making rules makes people dumb and blocks their problem solving skills. You invite your employees to deliver mediocre outcomes AND live an “I don’t need to think at all” life thinking they are protected by your rules.

over expensive but where isn't.. but especially here and smells HORRIBLE. smells like a backed up sewer pipe and the meat section smelled ABSOLUTELY RANCID. me and my mom actually gagged. but it always smells so bad when you walk in it hits you and it takes over like half the store i dont know why we come back at all or what the smell could be but its so nasty im not joking it's so so bad

It's clean, always fresh smell. Low traffic, lots of parking . Conveniently along Calgary trail. And a slew of other shopping amenities within the same parking lot. Nice security. Thay don't follow you around . Lol I forgot to mention they are quite knowledgeable on were thing are located in the store. Always a good choice good store.
