I love how Save-On-Foods offers bakery samples and sometimes pizza slice samples. It's a great way to attract customers and makes shopping more fun. I hope you keep doing this—little things like these make a big difference and keep people coming back!
Genuinely one of the best grocery store clerks I’ve ran into before, he sounds like he should host a sports game or something. Super funny and kind and helpful and very cheerful and enthusiastic especially considering I was a dick and was checking out 4 minutes before close. Made the announcements for it about to close very enthusiastically I noticed it made multiple people smile. He deserves a raise! : his name was Chris. All of the employees have all been very friendly and helpful.nnI would give it a 5 star but I’ve had issues with the quality of groceries twice now :/. as a reward for a good test score I bought myself some blackberries and raspberries each $10 so as a student that’s a lot for me haha not even 2 hours later I was eating them and already had the handful of the black berries and see the rest is all fuzzy mold… I checked the raspberries.. mold. Made me super sad but can’t say if it was a one off or not because I just haven’t boughten any since. I then bought some hot dog buns and had already served some and eaten one myself and then notice there is a bun with a bite out of it.. a large one.. all the people with me and myself were small women with half the bite size so I know it was some random person in the store that then put it back. Really grossed me out.. I’m not sure if that’s the store itself problem though because I don’t expect them to sift thru every bag of breads and make sure some guy didn’t take a chomp but I’d just recommend to take a check urself before eating.
I ordered groceries through Uber today! And you know what? It's trash!nnI am very dissatisfied with this order.nnI ordered a different pizza, but I received another one without my approval.nI ordered blueberries, but they were replaced with blackberries, which are a more expensive product that I did not choose.nI ordered iceberg lettuce, but instead I received curly cabbage, which is a completely different item.nnAdditionally, one of the eggs is broken, and the eggs were packed very poorly, which caused damage inside the carton.nnThese substitutions were made without my consent, and the quality of the order does not meet basic standards. I am requesting a refund for the incorrect and damaged items.nnWhy couldn’t you simply cancel those products that were not available? Why was it necessary to put what I don’t want? Is it hard to understand what an iceberg lettuce is and what blueberries are?nnI didn't ask me to change to other products, if I wanted to, I would choose them myself. So why should I have it now if I ordered something else?nnThe pizza I ordered is no longer available after I ordered it, it was brought to me, and after 2 hours it was gone! Shame
I won’t be shopping at this place or any of its sister companies no more.nnTime to start visiting small farms and farmer markets and support local instead of greedy corporate!nnSave on foods has officially lost their mind. Should be remained to “spend more on trash” considering the quality they are trying to sell you.nn$40 for Lindt chocolate arrangement?! $20 dollars for a chocolate rabbit? $15 for 200 grams of dark chocolate. All those are costing HALF the price at places like winners and shoppers?nnMost of your product has fast expiry date, meaning you purchased it for cheap- cheap and now you are selling your low quality crap to general public with a huge mark up.nnwhen did save on foods became a luxury grocery store? You are comedians.
I recently moved downtown. The prices at the Save On - 109 St are very high! People say prices from store to store are uniform. This is NOT true! Being a downtown location, this store caters to people who have a higher income. As a senior on a low income, I cannot afford to shop here. What Save On says about having lower prices is definitely not true.
