If you want a very casual dine in experience where you feel like you are eating in a family home, this is it! It’s a bit cramped so just an fyi The food was delicious! My favourite was the eggplant dip which was extremely flavourful!nnEveryone at my table stated their meat was cooked to perfection - including mine.nnThe staff was very friendly and helpful with recommending options. We were a bit disappointed that the Persian ice cream was not available but I guess this just shows how good it is being sold out.

The staff are so warm and kind it feels like you are visiting a family while you are travelling. The food is amazing and so flavorful, honestly can't recommend 1 menu item since they are all so different and delicious.nnI never discover this resturant till a friend recommend it because it's easy to miss when you drive bynnGlad we came

Disappointing Dinner at Saffron RestaurantnnI recently dined at Saffron Restaurant on Bank Street, Ottawa, with my wife. The atmosphere was quite cozy, and we really appreciated the art and décor—it definitely sets a warm and inviting tone. The customer service was also commendable, with staff being attentive and friendly throughout the evening.nnHowever, the food was a major letdown. We ordered the Chef’s Special and the Kopideh Kebob, and unfortunately, both dishes had a rancid smell that made it hard to enjoy the meal. The unpleasant odor really overshadowed the dining experience, leaving us disappointed and unable to eat comfortably. I’m not sure if it was an issue specific to our dishes or if the chef is simply unqualified to prepare food without such issues.nnWhile I appreciate the ambiance and service, the food quality needs significant improvement before I would consider returning.

I've already reviewed the Carling location that I visit often, but today I tried Saffron on Bank St. and I give it the same rating.nnSaffron to me is straight forward and consistent. For both the food and the service, there's no wow factor, but sometimes that's all you need: healthy food that tastes great.nnIf you're eating clean, you'll love Saffron. The Mix for 2 or 3 is an excellent source of protein. The meat and chicken are bbq'd to perfection, the rice is light and non-greasy, and the lentil soup is healthy and delicious. The salad is simple, the hummus is good carbs, and the bread is soft.nnI always order the same thing at Saffron, so I can't comment on the rest of the menu, but if you're a BBQ fan like me, you don't need to try anything else ... the Mixed Kebab platter is amazing and it's all you need.

Wow! 5 stars at Saffron Kabab on Bank St. Our group of friends had amazing meal, very reasonably priced and huge portions. Lots leftover to bring home. We ordered the Sultan Family Platter and it was honestly 5 ft long! Beautiful presentation. The manager was wonderful, the service prompt and friendly and even the chef came out to chat with us. Our group all agreed we would recommend Saffron Kabab to anyone and definitely be back. Oh, do yourself a favour and order the homemade ice cream! It is one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. Amazing. Thanks to SK for the great meal.
