Heartbreakers Pizza

Wonderful Pizza place with a wonderful atmosphere. The food was great including the salad and pizzas. The ambience is very warm and friendly. The food itself is good but it’s not out of this world. I would give it like a 4.5 stars rating. Food is fresh and looks good. I recommend this place. Check it out.

Simply put their pizza is delicious. The first time I got the Fun Guy pizza and then the second time I upgraded to the large pizza and split between two flavours. I do wish they had put more mushrooms the second time - there weren’t many on the one side approx. 4 mushrooms disappointingly. You can tell a big difference from the first pizza to the second in the amount of mushrooms provided. But it was still yummy. Will keep going back every time I’m in the area.

I think HB has the best pizza in the city by far, and I’ve tried a lot! and don’t sleep on their Kale Caesar salad, it’s SO delicious!nnWe did a half fun guy, half sausage and fennel. So flavourful, crispy and chewy crust, piping hot and fresh!nnOnly a bit cramped and they are always booked so make a reservation. Parking is not readily available side streets only so also make time to find parking ahead of your reservation.

Recommended by Pizza Joe, called for pick up, young lady on the phone called it take away. Was told it would be ready for take away in 45 minutes because it was the end of the week and busy. No problem when Joe’s rating was a 9.2/10. Got there 45 minutes later and the pizza was waiting for me. Paid by Card over $30 and asked me for a tip…first option was not 10%, but 12%…darn inflation. I always feel shame, so I tipped for me to drive there and wait 45 minutes. Got my pizza and had to have a slice ASAP and it was cold. It’s not a good pizza cold. The crust is a crispy one and when it’s cold it was like chewing sand paper, the roof of my mouth is still healing a day later. The sauce for me had too much going on with the herbs, the pizza is light so not much cheese, the Pepperoni was cup but no char. So for me it wasn't great…Now at home the family gets to try it , excited because of Joe’s review, they both said the same thing….Its OK. My son said it’s not San Marino’s and my wife said it’s not Carlo’s and I said it’s not Louis’s. Will I try it again….absolutely, but next times I will dine in, as it’s a very hipster place with a great vibe. It’s a pizza you enjoy right out of the oven with a glass of red wine. Who wants the last piece?

We watched many videos where chefs around Ottawa recommended this place as the best pizza in town. We really enjoyed it, the pizza dough is cooked light and crisp. The topping choices were great mix of spicy and creamy for our pizza. Other options were salty and sweet like Italian meats and honey as toppings. Seating is small so either plan for takeaway or be prepared to wait a bit.
