Chelochi Grill Ottawa

This place exceeded my expectations! I went to lunch with my parents and we all left satisfied. We ordered the Koobideh Kabob with an extra chicken skewer and Jejeh Zereshk. The best Persian food I’ve had in Ottawa ! Huge portions, flavourful, and great presentation. The meal came with salad and soup. Highly recommended, we will definitely return.

This place was pretty good. Big portions as always in kebabs places. With our plates we got soup. I believe it was chicken soup but I’m not sure. Both plates were good with a grilled tomato on the side with some rice. The water is not included so if you need a drink you will have to pay. I really enjoyed the upbeat music nightcore they were playing. But I think I would just do take out if I came here again.

It’s been a while since we’ve gone out for dinner and enjoyed this much. Wow We absolutely loved this place. Went in for dinner on Saturday with our two kids. They especially loved the soup/rice/kabob. The flavours were very on point, and the chicken/meat was juicy, cooked to perfection! The appetizers felt very authentic. Truly, the best Persian food we’ve tasted, so good! The ambience is cute/cozy and aesthetically appealing. The lady that served us was super sweet, felt like she was hosting us in her home, all smiles and kindness. The dessert was delicious, we had tea, cake & a saffron type rice pudding, yum! Didn’t get to picture the mains, we dug right in, haha!

Amazing meal at a great price. First time eating persian food and couldn't have been happier. I had the Baghala with Lamb Shank and it was among the best lamb I've ever eaten. Both the chicken and barg kababs were also top tier. We also sampled the house made saffron ice cream and was blown away at how delicious it was. To top it all off the service was the best. Complimentary soup and salad and the staff was attentive and a pleasure to interact with!.

It was my first time stopping for dinner since it was recommended to me 2 years ago. I was not disappointed, the service was excellent, the young woman made us a table for 5, suggested a few items and we went from there. The complimentary soup was delicious I could have enjoyed a bigger bowl. I had the sour chicken kebab, delicious, tea and pastry dessert all delicious and well worth the price, the owners made you feel like you were in their home for dinner. I recommended this place to a hotel patron and he nothing but good things to say, the day after, will definitely go back when I am in the city again.
