Very frustrating when they don't even speak enough English to take your order properly.nAlways long wait, very disorganized and the food quality and service is going downhill each time.nnToo many other charcoal chicken throughout Ottawa with better service and food.nnThey used to be good once upon a time. Very dissapointed lately.

Food is delicious. When I'm around that area all I can think of is their delicious spicy chicken but they are terribly slow, there's very little presence at the front desk and people get very impatient. I don't care that much about the appearance of the place because the taste of the food outshines those details.

Whether you order on the phone, or show up at the door you’ll get the same service.nnThe restaurant consists of a takeout desk, and that’s it. The kitchen is behind the wall, and you’ll get served whenever someone comes to the front.nnBut the chicken and seasoned rice are tasty!!

The restaurant has taken a nosedive in recent times. The food quality has plummeted to a point where it's simply horrible, and unfortunately, the same can be said for their customer service.nnDespite giving this place multiple chances, the consistent letdowns in both the quality of the dishes and the customer service have left me with no desire to return.nnAs echoed in numerous reviews, the process of ordering through the phone is utterly pointless. Not only are you forced to wait in line alongside people who didn't place an order, but you also end up having to repeat your order, adding to the frustration. The wait time of 20+ minutes further tests your patience, making the experience even less enjoyable.nnThe ambiance at the Vanier location is far from ideal. The kitchen smoke and uncomfortable heat create an environment that's far from pleasant. Waiting for your food inside results in leaving the place sweaty and smelling like food. Oddly, this issue seems to be absent at the downtown location, leaving me to question the consistency in their standards.nnWhile the food does possess a unique flavor profile, it's overshadowed by the consistent poor quality and shockingly inconsistent portion sizes. The price, coupled with the horrible customer service, makes it impossible to justify a return visit.nnI strongly recommend that the management seriously reevaluates the direction the Vanier location is headed. Perhaps, focusing their efforts on maintaining the standards of the downtown branch would serve them better. It's a pity to see what was once a promising dining option turn into a disappointing and regrettable choice.

It’s such a shame because they make the best chicken in the city, but their service has to be one of the worst. You can order on the phone , they will say it’s ready in 10 minutes and when you get there you’re waiting 30 minutes later. They shouldn’t rely on the good quality of the food to keep customers coming because eventually people will stop going because of their disorganization. I’m seriously thinking of opening one to compete because there aren’t enough African restaurants in the city with this type of quality that offer good customer service
