Rooms have been updated. Beds were comfortable. The place was clean and quiet.nI was a little disappointed with the hot breakfast. The orange juice and coffee were great. Glad there were other options like muffins and yogurt.
Awesome stay, we had a lovely time here. We slept well it was comfortable. Location is great nearby of all the restaurant and shops. And what about the exceptional service we had, can't ask for more. other then the coffee include with the breakfast that was not good at all but it didn't stop me to like this place. Thanks again, we'll come back
I had booked this hotel last minute after being storm stayed in moncton and unable to drive back to fredericton. It seemed a fair price and honestly, I was just looking for somewhere to sleep considering I had booked this at around 9pm. Opon my arrival I had checked in at the counter and the man working at the desk was honestly not really polite. I am english first language and I’m not sure if he had trouble speaking english but he spoke maybe 2 words to me before giving me my key with the usual wifi password, room number, breakfast is at this time script. Again, I didn’t overly care about this because I understand I booked late and I was just looking for somewhere to sleep. Opon entering my room I was genuinely appalled by it, it was absolutely nothing like the picture I seen. there was chunks out of the corners of the wall, grease marks on the wall, dirt scuffs on the windowsill and what appeared to be either dirt or bleach on the bed skirt along with finger marks all over the desk. I actually immediately turned around and went down to the desk and spoke with the man who initially greeted me. I said very calmly I just was not happy with the room and I didn’t want to cause a ruckus I just wanted to cancel the booking. I work in customer service so I understand he's just doing his job and althought I was upset theres no reason to be rude. he then told me I could not cancel it because I has booked it through booking.com and I was kind of confused by this because I had not paid yet and was going to be charged at the hotel. I was extremely upset and asked him again if there was any possibly way I can just cancel this and not be charged 150$ for a hotel I wasn’t even staying at. He persisted theres absolutely nothing he can do and id have to contact booking.com. I genuinely went back to the room and cried at the thought of having to stay the night in this place. If I wanted motel quality I would have just stayed at a motel for half the price. I got in touch with a customer service rep who was extremely helpful and managed to cancel this for me. I went back downstairs and told the man at the desk that I had gotten in touch with booking.com and the rep had told me it was cancelled. he then motioned with his hands for me to leave. I replied and asked if I was good to go? he said yes and wouldn’t even give me the time of day or even a scripted apology. nothing. I would also like to add when he charged and refunded my credit card I was charged 300$ when the booking was listed for 129 +taxes. I was refunded it fully but I am just not sure where he got that number from.nnI want to finish this review by saying I work in a restaurant and if I treated a customer the way I had been treated last night, I would probably lose my job. Overall if I could give this entire experience a 0 stars I would. If you’re thinking about staying at this hotel I recommend you just go to a motel for half the price cause honestly they would probably treat you better and it would most likely be cleaner, its beyond me how this hotel has a 4 star rating. gun to my head I would not stay here again.
Staff was very friendly & welcoming on checkin & checkout.nHotel reception area clean. Breakfast is the regular, eggs, sausages, beans, etc. No complaints. Dining area was clean.nWe were on the second floor facing the road, rooms are small, dated but very clean.nNow, the traffic noise from Main street. Its not so much the traffic as it is loud exhaust on some vehicles. Its loud. I normally can sleep through anything. So no sleep for me. Bring your noise canceling headphones. Ear plugs did not help. I would stay again if i could have rent a drive up room facing the river.
Had a great stay here when visiting Moncton for a show. Very clean, very comfortable, friendly staff. I was also surprisingly pleased with the breakfast options - as someone with dietary restrictions there isn’t normally much I can eat at hotel breakfasts, and I much appreciated that they had more of a selection than is typically offered. Would stay here again for sure!
