Very disappointed with room. For the price of a room that smells so old and damp is terrible. After showering, the moldy damp smell from shower was sickening. Plugs don't work, toilet seat fell off, window latch broke and dont open, and the dust and dirt on everything. Even table leg was falling off, almoat knocking over eveyones foodnnBrought concerns forward and was shown a different room which smelt absolutely no different either. Nor could we get refunded to leave only couple hours after checking in due to conditions.nnWould advise staying anywhere else. Hotel is in state of disrepair and in desperate need of renovations.
The hotel features beautiful and spacious rooms, and the service is generally good, though it could be more helpful and welcoming.nA significant drawback is the lack of sufficient parking during busy days. When the lot is full, guests are told to find parking elsewhere, with the hotel taking no responsibility. This is highly inconvenient and unappealing, especially for those staying multiple nights, as finding parking elsewhere can be unsafe or exhausting after a trip.
We stayed here last night for a hockey tournament. We had a king suite with a pull out couch. Upon arriving we brought our stuff in and got our room organized. We pulled out the couch and went for the usual sheet set in the closet. There was no fitted sheet. We called down for one, no biggie. The room was clean and enough space for us. It was expensive for what it was in my opinion, but it worked. The parking was our main issue. We paid for parking but after our last game, we came back to a full lot. We had to wait for someone to leave to get a spot and our whole team had to deal with this. Parking shouldn’t be paid for if it isn’t guaranteed, plus using a “full” sign would be helpful because the lots are super cramped and hard to move around in. There is no turning around. You have to back out of the underground if the lot is full. The staff were there but not overly friendly. Seemed to keep their head down and work. Like most hotels during hockey season, the walls aren’t too think so you can hear all the kids running around at night.
Great place to stay. Rooms were clean and nice size. Quiet, only noise I heard was from outside across the road. Good free breakfast there were fruit, coffee, juice, waffles, cereal, yogurt and pastries. Staff was friendly. Nice area to walk down to the bore park. I don't like staying at hotels, but this one is nice I would come back here again.
The hotel is really nice and well located but comfort did not meet my expectations.nnFrom the moment you check in, it was clear this hotel prioritizes business policies over guest experience. Bonvoy membership and credit card offers popped up immediately.nnAfter seeing the suite I requested an upgrade, but request was denied due to a busy weekend in Jan?, somehow one night guests are a priority over week long stays? a door separates rooms making noise, speaking and tv sounds from the next room, unavoidable listening to different visitors everyday.nnSlow free Wi-Fi or a paid high-speed option, Ethernet was broken and took 24 hours and multiple follow-ups to get it replaced only to be just as slow.nnYou have 2 coffees in the room that were not replaced x 4days until i walked to the front desk to get some.nnPaid parking $16/day, $10 if 5+ days.nnBreakfast is good with a wide variety, the pool is nice and was underused, laundry room coins is a nice feature.nnNo bottled water in suites.nnAt checkout I was told again to subscribe to Bonvoy as i qualify for 3 free nights anywhere in Canada. I finally agreed, only to be informed they couldn’t add my stay and provided me with a phone number after two weeks of follow-ups, I was told I wasn’t eligible because I booked my stay through a third party app.nnRespectful staff, but poor policies and service make extended stays unappealing in comparison to the great experience I had at the previous hotel I moved from.
