I went there with the hopes of finding a dress for a wedding I'm attending soon. Went in there with my mother and we were approached by a worker. She was nice until we gave my $150-200 budget. She was then very dismissive and didn't help us. I tried on a dress that didn't fit me , I was a bit bummed but I was okay. I'm a bigger girl ,size 18 The worker kept trying to close the dress even when I said I don't want to try. I was done with that dress. It was basically rubbing salt in the wound,and I was annoyed already. She said I definitely needed about 3-4 sizes bigger, that's okay but it's the way she said it that bothered me. Sure did a thing to my confidence. After that we kept looking but then a thinner client came in and she was more attentive to her and her unlimited budget. My mother and I left and noticed that there's an entire other side of the store with different dresses and some totally in my price range. My mother went back and kindly asked the worker if we could be let In so we can see those dresses. My mother said she was very rude and said no we didn't need to cause all those dresses were size 4-7. So you're telling me all 100+ dresses in there were size 4 to 7. Or was it because they didn't wanna bother with us anymore? Just a horrible, disappointing experience. I got my prom dress here years ago so I thought I would have better luck but nope, times have changed I guess. You'll have no problem if you're a size 00-8 and have an unlimited budget, but if you're bigger than that.. expect no good customer service or luck with dresses.
This website is extremely unique! I got some pairs of dresses for my wife and daughter from this website , they are very good stuff and exceptionally looking good on them . The products are very good and durable because my wife and daughter are enjoying them after getting them for a very long time. They love what they got from Riviera fashion home. At this juncture, I hereby implore every ladies to kindly patronize them as you will never regret whatever you buy from the website.
I bought my dress for my daughter wedding and I am so happy with it. Amazing customer service and ladies who worked there very professional and patient. Alterations that they did it was unbelievable. I strongly recommend this place for buying beautiful dress and alteration . Thank you RIVIERA team.
I am looking for a unique dress for my friend's wedding party. I was looking for weeks and finally found the loveliest one in this store. The kindest staffs were there, so they helped me to find my dreamy dress.
I ordered four bridesmaid dresses from Riviera. When the dresses arrived in store, I accompanied my nieces for the fitting. Three of the dresses required alterations. One niece did not bring her shoes to the fitting so I told Patricia who was assisting us that my niece would return at a later date with her shoes. Patricia continuously asked my niece to provide an estimate of the heel height and due to the pressure, my niece gave a rough estimate. Lesson 1: Do not get your dress altered unless you have the correct shoes with you...do not succumb to pressure. Also note: Riviera only accepts CASH for alterations!! I was not informed of this in advance. Lesson 2: Do not pick up altered dresses without trying them on. I made the mistake of picking up the altered dresses alone because it was difficult to coordinate a date that worked for everyone. I was not informed of their policies, otherwise, I would not have left the store with those altered dresses that day. What happened next is not acceptable and Riviera needs to improve their communication and customer service practices! My nieces tried on the dresses at home and discovered that two of the dresses were slightly too long. The dress for my niece who didn't bring her shoes required new measurements. I called Riviera and explained the situation to the retail clerk who provided verbal confirmation that there would not be an additional charge for the re-alteration. Lesson #3: Always get the name of the retail clerk you're speaking with and note down the conversation date. My three nieces coordinated a date to go in to Riviera together and they were treated with an unbelievable level of rudeness by a retail clerk named Susan. When they explained the situation to Susan and asked that the dresses be re-altered, Susan told them that they would have to pay again. She refused to believe them when they said that verbal confirmation was received over the phone...without any attempt to verify the information. She didn't ask for the date of the call nor the retail clerk's name. She insisted that they had to pay again and started speaking increasingly rudely and loudly...so much so that it attracted the attention of other customers in the store. This was a traumatic and embarrassing experience for my nieces. My eldest niece called me on her cellphone to update me and when I asked to speak with Susan, my niece handed her cellphone to Susan and asked her to speak with me. I re-iterated to Susan that I had called Riviera previously and received verbal confirmation that the re-alterations would be free. She refused to believe me. I asked to speak with Patricia and she said Patricia was not in the store at that time. Then I asked to speak to the manager and she said the manager is also not in and that even if the manager were present, he/she would say the same thing: that we would need to pay again. While I was still speaking, Susan thrust the phone back at my niece and turned her back to my nieces and proceeded to help another customer. My eldest niece was completely shocked and asked me what they should do. I asked my niece to let Susan know that I had not finished speaking...Susan refused to take the phone again and continued to ignore my nieces. I decided to make a trip to Riviera and to speak with Susan in person. My niece conveyed this to Susan. My fiance was driving me to Riviera when my niece called and said that Susan spoke to someone who might have been the manager/owner. After hearing the situation, the manager/owner approved getting the re-alterations done for free. Susan must have been upset because rolled her eyes at my nieces and continued to treat them rudely. This type of customer service is unacceptable!! Susan should receive training on customer service and appropriate communications skills. She needs to learn how to treat customers with respect. She owes me and my nieces a sincere apology for her inappropriate behaviour. Response to owner: we had one paid alteration and one free alteration done.
I had a wonderful experience finding my prom dress here. The ladies helping me were fantastic and very helpful! I am very indecisive so i tried on three dresses multiple times and they helped me narrow it down. In the end they let me think and decide for myself which one was THE dress.
Gowns only place. Sorry boys. Not an altering shop for outside dresses. This place is a good place to start your gown hunting. Almost bought a gown here. The girls take care of you here. If you have already an event to go to I advice that you already try all the dresses in advance because when dress seasons come this place will be full of girls. -1 star because the place is small. and that's about it. They always have clearance sale on their higher sizes. Prices will get a bit higher $300-$1k for the "nicer ones". I would suggest to window shop before finalizing your purchase here. Like how long the order will ship, final fitting, hemming and etc. Ladies are knowledgeable about how it should fit. Some like their suggestions and some ladies do not like professional help. This place is not really a good place to go to when you already have a very specific look you are looking for.
Went on a last minute shopping trip for a wedding. Alma was incredibly helpful and lovely ! Her associate who helped with dress alterations was very accommodating and friendly as well. Did not think I would be able to find a dress this last minute ! But these ladies insisted on finishing the dress alterations within a day. Really appreciate their skill and dedication to making it work for the consumer ! Thanks again

Came here and staff were not welcoming and rushed me to change out of my dress so another person could try theirs on. Pretty disappointed with the customer service, would not come back here.
