Residence Inn by Marriott Vancouver Downtown

We had a staycation with our young kids. Loved the beds, very comfortable. Great to have an almost full sized fridge and freezer.nnPool and hottub were awesome. Great strong jets in the hottub.nnBreakfast amazing! Varied spread of cold and hot foods. Lots of space to sit and dine. Great service from Chef B. The waffle bar shut down/ ran out? She sought us out, and offered pancakes. She was friendly and enthusiastic. My kids were very grateful and excited for the pancakes!nnNice, renovated and modern rooms. Spacious 2 queen beds room. Windows were able to open a little for some fresh air. But, would be nice for a balcony for the room.

We stayed at theResidence Inn for 2 nights and the hotel provided an overall satisfactory experience for our stay. The front desk staff was very friendly right from the start. We arrived very early, and they stored our luggage securely while also giving us a key to use the restrooms in the lobby while we were waiting for our room to be ready.nnThe room itself was nice, clean, and exactly as advertised, complete with a clean kitchenette. The bathroom and shower were also very nice and clean. When we asked for a late checkout, it was no issue at all, which was really appreciated. Breakfast was good and complete with plenty of options.nnThere are just a few practical things to keep in mind when staying here. Breakfast is only free for two guests per room and kids under 12, so any kid over 12 will be charged extra. Also, while we did not feel unsafe ourselves, there is a noticeable presence of homeless and not-so-sober people in the surrounding area, though you will see this popping up all over the city. Overall, it was a solid stay with great service, complementary breakfast, and I would recommend it for a visit to Vancouver!

We stayed for a month with our two young children and my wife, and the experience was truly enjoyable.nnOne of the highlights of our stay was breakfast. The team was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming every morning. Their warm smiles and helpful attitude made us feel comfortable and cared for, and they truly made our stay special.nnWe are very grateful for the wonderful hospitality and would happily recommend this hotel to families looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to stay in Vancouver. Thank you to the entire team for making our month-long stay so memorable!nnWe’ll definitely be visiting again soon—with our newest little cutie, who will be 4 months old!

We had a wonderful stay at The Residence Inn Vancouver Downtown.nnWe stayed for 2 nights - our room was spacious, clean, tidy and extremely comfortable plus it was nice and quiet. Our suite also contained a full-sized fridge, stovetop, microwave, and dishwasher.nnThere was a free daily buffet breakfast plus the hotel had a indoor swimming pool and free Wi Fi.nnThe location was great - just minutes away from cafes, shops, restaurants and pubs.nnThe customer service was very friendly, courteous and professional - overall our experience very positive/lovely.nnWe'll definitely stay here again and would high recommend this hotel if you ever travel to Vancouver.

Very nice hotel & delicious complimentary breakfast. They do need garbages in the common areas - like the lobby, terrace, & outdoor entrance. Also, on more than 1 occasion the maid did not lock my door. The door wasn’t pulled completely shut, leaving my belongings unsecured. Lastly, was not impressed that upon checkin, they tried to double charge me for the 3rd adult in my room, $35 per night. I prepaid for the room, including the 3rd adult. They claimed that charge is only done at check-in…luckily I had my invoice to prove it was already paid.
