Paul & Adele's No Frills

I had a horrible experience at this store on Thursday March 1st. I happen to be in the area and needed to pick up a couple things so I stopped in there. I will never make that mistake again. There was a woman in front of me who is obviously from another country, and the cashier opened up her bagged produce pulled each individual piece out and placed it on the counter in front of her cash register, argued with this poor customer about what kind of produce it was, and then moved the produce from in front of her till onto the belt and then returned it to the bags. I was disgusted, the poor customer in front of me was disgusted, and she said that she could no longer take the produce because her husband was sick and this woman had just got germs all over her fresh food and she could not take it home like that, and I agreed out loud. The cashier was very rude to this woman and said "I'm so sorry for doing my job" the customer rightly said "no, you are not doing your job, that's not sanitary" the cashier attempted to argue with her at which point I stood up for the customer and said she was 100% correct I had never seen such behavior and that I would be upset myself if it were mine and the Health Board would not be pleased to see her doing that. The cashier then looked at the woman and said " fine then I'm not sorry!" How rude!!! The customer was very polite through this entire interaction, and the cashier was visibly confrontational and it seemed to me like she had a problem with this woman's race. I was absolutely disgusted by the entire situation and left my food on the belt, told the customer that I was very sorry that she was being treated this way, and walked out. I will never go back to this place ever again that was disgusting behavior and no one should have been treated the way this woman was treated. No one in any grocery store is trained to open people's bagged produce, take all the pieces out, and place them on dirty surfaces. It was disgusting and uncalled for.

Clean store, beautiful produce, and lots of room to manoeuver around other shoppers. Great selection of foods, prices consistently low. Only drawback is that parking lot is sometimes full.

Very small store with a very small parking lot. Entry and exit doors so poorly designed. Difficult to avoid crashing your buggy when exiting store. I go to that store for convenience and price matching only. The selection is very limited but they do try to keep what they carry in stock. The owner should say hello to his customers once in a while.

Best No Frills in Hamilton. Frequently has items when other No Frills sell out. Also carries specialty food items the others do not have.

Great prices and are starting to carry more high end items like Asian pears (yum!) and dragon fruit. The only drawback is that they do not take Visa
