I would say this place is fantastic!! We had a family trip to Vancouver with a three year old kid. We booked a double-bed room but decided to upgrade to a suite when we arrived there. The suite had one king bed and one sofa bed, which perfectly fits for us. The room is clean and comfortable, especially the mattress. Also, the view from the hotel is amazing. We love the staffs there, they are very friendly and nice. My kid left a bottle of milk in the dining area, the lady there kept it and returned to us the next day. We have a great experience there.nnThe only issue was the bathroom, when we took a shower we found the water was not that warm, which made the kid feel uncomfortable and unwilling to take the shower.nnOverall, we strongly recommend this hotel. We will definitely visit again next time when we are in Vancouver.
I’m usually more of a central downtown Vancouver hotel person, for example, the Wall Centre has been my go-to for years. But thanks to a great promotion through Stay Vancouver Hotels, I decided to try a few properties I’d long heard about. Pan Pacific had been on my list for some time, though I’d been warned by a few people that it felt a bit “dated.” Undaunted, I booked a mid-week stay and I’m very glad I did.nnRight off the bat, the location is a huge win. Being able to take the SkyTrain directly from the airport to Waterfront Station and walk a few buildings over to the hotel was a godsend. Compared to getting off at Yaletown or City Centre and doing a 10–15 minute walk to places like the Wall Centre, this made arrival effortless.nnCheck-in was equally smooth. I was greeted by Ken at the front desk, who was excellent. We hit a small snag with the promotion details and instead of keeping me waiting while he sorted it out, he simply handed me my key and assured me he’d take care of everything. That prioritization getting the guest settled first really stood out for me. I was also pleasantly surprised to be upgraded from a Premier King City View to an Executive King with a harbour view.nnThe room itself was stunning. I’m not sure what others meant by “dated”, I found the room to be very well maintained and no more “old” than the Wall Centre. The Executive King room was bigger than expected, with a beautiful curved window running the full length of the room and overlooking the harbour. I loved waking up to that view every morning.nnHousekeeping was also excellent. They seemed to know exactly when I’d stepped out and were incredibly attentive no need to call or hang a sign and the room was always refreshed promptly. That level of awareness and consistency is something many hotels struggle with, and Pan Pacific clearly has it dialed in.nnOne small thing worth noting for prospective guests: seaplanes do take off from the harbour regularly throughout the day. The engine noise lasts only a minute or two each time, but it’s noticeable. If you’re working from the room or on calls, it’s something to be aware of. That said, it didn’t detract from my stay, and I genuinely enjoyed working from the room.nnOverall, this was a very comfortable, well-run stay, and the service especially at check-in left a strong impression. I’d happily return and would absolutely consider Pan Pacific again for future Vancouver trips.
I give this a 4 stars.nstars.nnPro: views are beautiful. Rooms are nice.Quick check, check out. Nice location.nnCon: Parking, very tight stalls, you pay to park. Room service wasn't the greatest. I ordered off the menu, they delivered without an item, called for them to bring it up took 10 mins and was delivered cold, and additional fees added on to room service.
My friend and I stayed here for a couple of nights to check out the Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience at Stanley Park, the rooms are nice, the entrance to the Skytrain station is at the ground level which makes it easier to access instead of going outside, the customer service was friendly, the outdoor pool is great and it's nice and heated to go in even in the winter months so guests can enjoy swimming in the day and under the night sky. It's also near the terminal for cruise travellers and for people coming over on the Hullo Ferry and is near a bunch of restaurants to go eat at, and they have a great buffet at the restaurant in the hotel especially for breakfast.nnI'll definitely want to stay here again in the near future, even my friend said she would like to stay here again
I was quite disappointed with my stay at this hotel. For $500 a night, I expected a much better experience.nnTo start, my reservation was made under the wrong first name. When I asked the front desk to correct it, they said they did—but the mistake remained. Later, a staff member spoke to my 14-year-old nephew in a condescending way while he was calmly supervising his younger sister at the pool, which left him upset.nnThe rooms themselves were clean and comfortable, though the beds were a bit small for the price range. The pool area was a highlight—it was nicely heated with pleasant views.nnAfter checkout, I noticed an incorrect $28 breakfast charge on my invoice, even though I never went to the breakfast area. The staff removed it once I pointed it out, but if I hadn’t checked, I would have been overcharged.nnOverall, for the price, I expected a more professional and attentive experience. If you’re already spending around $500 per night including room tax and stuff, I’d recommend considering the Fairmont next door instead.
