We Love Insects!

Ottawa Insectarium is an FUN and unique visitor attraction. It is a great place to learn about insects from butterflies to tarantulas! Visitors will have the opportunity to see preserved as well as live insects and interact with them.

We also have a full gift shop to purchase unique items including our famous insect candy :-)

The Insectarium is a great visit for families as well as other groups.

Great place. Very informed staff made it interesting. Lots of different bugs to hold- which is really fun. The gift shop is fun with lots of 'bug' snacks. Lots of cool stuff to learn and look at. I would go again and I would recommend going. Great for kids but we are two grown adults that had a fantastic time.

This place is a diamond in the rough. Tucked in Sparks street behind Parliament. Fun, interesting, wonderful staff who worked well with kids and made it intelligent and interesting for the adults. Cool gift shop for kids who are into bugs. Got to hold Spiders, stick bugs, and more! Learned that tarantulas don't bite and like to be still. Reasonable prices too!!

Wow! This place is amazing! The staff was so friendly and nice! Very helpful! It was educational and fun. I got to hold just about all the bugs. He helped me with some of my fears. It was great! They even had a gift shop. I will be coming back real soon.

Came to Ottawa from Alabama and stopped by the insectarium to check it out and was pleasantly surprised. Included with the price of admission was a guided tour with a gentleman named Stefan he was knowledgeable​, personable, and very fun. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

This was so much fun! Conquered some irrational fears and met some surprisingly friendly and docile bugs. We were one of two couples that were given a private tour with live specimens, but if it creeps you out you don’t have to do any handling and you can still see and learn a lot. Would recommend for anyone. The highlight of our trip!
