Festival of India Ottawa, is a premier annual cultural event, whose objective is to educate and entertain the people of Ottawa and its tourists.

Story

The Great India Festival will take place during
August 10th, 11th, 12th 2018. In the heart of Ottawa, the Canada's national capital each year, this three-day celebration,
showcases culture and heritage of India
welcoming thousands of people from
all around Canada.

Our vision is to become the preeminent organization for promoting and developing a greater understanding and appreciation of the multicultural splendor and heritage of India, in all its facets, among Canadians.

Our mission is to offer the visitors and residents of the National Capital Region a world-class opportunity to personally learn about and experience the traditions, culture and heritage of India.


OBJECTIVES

Our objectives are:

to showcase high quality music and dance programming from the Indian diaspora and India;

to engage our patrons with interactive and participatory programs that both entertain and educate about Indian culture;

to feature nutritious and tasty food from all regions of India;

to present workshops that nourish the Body, Mind and Soul - Wellness, Yoga, Meditation, Music, Arts, Dance and Cooking;

to organize discourses, discussions and debates on Indian inspired Culture, Philosophy, Religion, and Spirituality;

to maintain a repository on sources of information on subjects including the Cultures, Religions, Festivals, Music and Dances, Philosophies, Literature and Cuisine of India.
