A Must-See Gem of Canadian Heritage!nWhat an incredible display of history and culture! The Canadian Museum of History offers an unforgettable experience, both inside and out. Every exhibit tells a powerful story, and the attention to detail is outstanding. One of the highlights for us was the awe-inspiring statues and artifacts from the Indigenous peoples — truly something you don’t come across often in other museums.nnThe architecture of the museum itself is stunning, and the surrounding grounds are just as captivating, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere.nnIf you’re anywhere near this area, do yourself a favor and visit — this museum is an absolute must-see!
Fascinating and beautiful. A must-see! The Canadian Museum of History blew me away. Stunning architecture houses fascinating exhibits that bring Canada's story to life. From Indigenous history to modern times, it's comprehensive and engaging. The Grand Hall is breathtaking. A truly memorable experience!
My husband and I had such a lovely time at the Canadian Museum of History. Before going in, we relaxed by the river with some amazing bagels from Bobino Bagel. The view of Parliament Hill was beautiful and made for a perfect start to the day.nnThe museum itself was impressive. We loved the Grand Hall with its stunning totem poles and found the Canadian History Hall upstairs really engaging. It was a great mix of culture, learning, and peaceful scenery. Definitely worth the visit!
Very good museum. Has a children's museum. Designed by architect Douglas Cardinal, the curves are to avoid 90° corners which is believed to contain evil spirts. Entrance looks like a turtles head. Rear of museum looks like there's a giant upside down canoe on it portage with paddles held up to signify peace I believe.
The first time ever at the History Musiem at it was a great time. That history museum was a cool place to spend the day. The kids loved all the old stuff, especially the weird toys. We even saw a really cool exhibit on old tools, which sparked lots of questions. It's amazing how much things have changed over time. It's definitely worth a visit if you're ever in the area!
