Veneto Bar Ristorante

Cocktails always great here, but the food is absolutely delicious. I was pleased to see a variety of share plates to main courses. We had the octopus and it was to die for! The new chef has put a lot of care into constructing a well thought out menu. I will be back to try more soon!

Fantastic food and drinks, and the new renovations look great. I love being able to go in and have one of their bartenders create a drink based on my taste preferences.

Nice restaurant in downtown Victoria. For a hotel restaurant, the pricing is relatively reasonable and the portione are decent. French Frites were a bit soggy and felt like were re heated. Steak quality was very high, congac peppercorn sauce was delicious. Service given by Claire was pleasant and prompt. Salad was fresh and crunchy. The blueberry and peach crumble is to die for!

Bar review only Unbelievably good. Not just the best cocktails in Victoria, but some of the best-made drinks I've experienced anywhere. Even the ice hand-carved is a thing of beauty. We asked for an old-fashioned and were presented with a remarkable, beautifully balanced concoction of bourbon, mint liqueur, benedictine and clove bitters. Service was impeccable. A can't miss destination for cocktail nerds. BONUS: visit the liquor store next door and take home some local spirits.

I'm leaving a little room in my star rating for my next visit. Great location and atmosphere. The big windows and high ceilings make for a good cocktail drinking experience. Cocktails themselves were decent - next visit I'll go off menu for a better test.

Great atmosphere, amazing food, quality place. If you're looking for a great place that has shareable food, this is the place. I read many raving reviews about Veneto's Tapa lounge and they're not wrong, I'm definitely coming back to this restaurant to try out more of their menu.

Was once my favourite bar in Victoria, since the renos it's nothing more than your typical hotel restaurant. Lost its charm, took away the spin the wheel, and the service is below par at best. What a shame.

What a fantastic spot to enjoy some drinks and some food! Outstanding and knowledgeable service that blows your typical pub or restaurant away, without charging a whole lot more than a pub these days. I loved the beer list, and our server actually knew a thing or two about each of the beers and was able to make recommendations and tell me about what I was drinking. Fantastic!

Drink selection and service has gone significantly downhill since the renovation. The new drink menu is smaller and looks cheap, no more flights of cocktails, and the fancy old cocktail glasses and cucumber water is long gone. Used to be one of my favorite cocktail bars in town and the staff had a great attention to detail with every drink they made.
