Mr. Hotpot

Throw up twice after eating the skewers. Must be cooked with garbage. Left my stomach hurts for several days. Avoid this trash restaurant if you want clean food.

I often visit here and here is always late some services, but this time is the worst. I can't undertand why do they alway serve late?!! because there was not busy, only there were 3-4 tables of people. We odered beef 4-5 timeseven we ordered in chinese, but we couldn't serve any beef before we left there. Every serving was late and terrible, the server frequent forgot our orders. The server never serve any orders when we orderd once. We had to require several times about our orders, then they finally servedexcept beef. I think, this restaurant should hire more staff and prepare some ingredients before opening the store.

Essentially paid $40 to boil cabbage and meat in a soup base. Made the meat tough, and was generally flavorless. Oh, and the service was awful; no one spoke English except the chef, and even he didn't know enough to help us understand how to order or what to expect. Truly terrible establishment, obviously only caters to Chinese customers.

Terrible experience! The kebab is not fresh and too salty and totally unable to eat. My friend got serious stomachache and threw up 5 times just after eating the hotpot. The CFIA should definitely check their food and oil the used.

It was a sunday when we went to mr hotpot. tips for the owner 1 Each table should get their own pitcher of water this makes it easier of the servers. so their not rushing back and forth trying to get orders ready and severing. 2 there should be a pad of paper and pen at each table because the server consistently forgot items that we ordered. 3 Don't charge for sauces why charge for sauces. 4 If item that are ordered run out, please tell the customer. 5 always have beer, cause beer and hotpot is a must. 6 use fresher produces cause the chinese cabbage we order was soggy and not crispy like how fresh veggies would be. 7 there should be a dedicated server and not the chef trying to do two jobs at once cause it was hard to communicate with server/chef. When his is always in the kitchen area trying to get item ready and server. 8 there should a be a big hot pot spoon so you can get the items out of the broth when items are done cooking. cause you cant find items in the broth with two thin chop sticks.

The food is fresh with good quality, the service is great too. My wife and I enjoy the dinner very much, we will definitely visit Mr. Hotpot again.

It was our first hot pot experience and the servers took us through step by step. The flavours were unlike any I’ve had before. Very good, I definitely recommend!

One of the most authentic Chinese foods in Victoria. They serve the spicy hot pot that is the one of most popular foods for most Chinese young people. I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone! You should try it at least once.

Definitely the best and most authentic hotpot in Victoria. I came here two times just the past week! Definitely worth coming here if you’re ever in Victoria!

Very good Hot Pot and as others have stated can be a wee bit pricey per person. Active place very busy...best to make a reservation especially Friday to Sunday closed Monday only open after 5pm
