I recently visited Moti Mahal for some Indian street food cravings and had a mixed experience. We ordered a variety of chaat items including sweets. The Raj Kachori was a bit disappointing it resembled more of a basket chaat and lacked the authentic flavor and presentation I expected. However, we also did a takeout of Chole Bhature, and it was delicious. A definite must-try if you visit!nnOverall, a decent spot for Indian snacks, but stick to the classics like Chole Bhature for the best experience.
-Very hot and Humid place at least in Augustn- Chana Bhaturas taste is average but there is unnecessarily too much oil in bhaturas and in chana sabji.n- I have to wait for 30+ min to get my foodn- very dirty place, you won't feel like you are in Canadan- I highly do not recommend anyone
A classic and historical spot on Gerrard, we had a great time at MotiMahal! Their food was delicious and authentic, bringing the taste of the street food and dishes to India right here. It was fairly busy when we were there with lots of groups of family and friends there. You can't go wrong with this place.
Didn’t see the negative reviews until I checked it out. Had a different experience: Best street food style in little India. Tried the Chanaa Bhatura because I wanted to try the puffy Poori/Bhatura bread, lentil was spiced. No disappointment. Didn’t have high expectation of service since it’s self serve street food style. Now that I reflected back, upon cashier check out, it was quick and didn’t have steps to tip on bill.
The food here is really tasty, no doubt why it's just busy and filled with people on weekends, I really like the chhole bhature, we also ordered dosa, Mango lassi, and the veg thali. The only concern I see is hygiene. The tables should be cleaned. The dishes should be cleared off quickly from the bins.
