As a returning customer I can vouch for this restaurant. the staff here is very attentive , they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, especially since we had our newborn in a car seat. They were incredibly thoughtful, even lowering the music so our little one could sleep peacefully.nnThe food was just as impressive as the service, the butter paneer was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, while the garlic naan was absolute perfection, soft yet crisp in all the right places. It’s rare to find a place that excels in both hospitality and food quality.
We ordered few items and all tasted very well. But the waiting time to get a table was lengthy and also the food wasn’t served on time as we waited for a long time for each dishes that we have ordered. And the food was worth the price. The madras filter coffee was not really like filter coffee and they really have to do justice for it to taste like madras filter coffee. Ambiance is good and wish they could have more space to accommodate everyone within a reasonable waiting time.
On February 1st, we celebrated a milestone—our mom's 75th birthday with a heartfelt lunch gathering. Rohit, one of the managers, went above and beyond to create a special Tali that beautifully blended South and North dishes for 50 people. The staff's friendliness and the delicious food made for a remarkable experience, with our guests truly enjoying the wonderful presentation. Keerthana took exceptional care of everyone, ensuring that coffee and tea were delightful as well. The venue offered convenient parking, and they graciously organized a coat rack for our guests. Our experience was nothing short of beautiful, and my family is immensely grateful for the patience and kindness extended to us over nearly four hours. Thank you! Let’s also take a moment to congratulate the Ishq Team on their 1st Anniversary celebrated on February 2nd!
Our experience at Ishq Restaurant in Scarborough was nothing short of disappointing. After waiting almost an hour for a table, we were met with some of the most subpar food and service we’ve ever encountered. The starters set the tone for the evening—burnt dahi ke kebab and achari paneer tikka that was so salty, it was barely edible.nnMoving on to the main course, things only got worse. The adraki gobhi was completely uncooked, and the paneer tikka masala was equally undercooked and lacked flavor. The only saving grace of the meal was the dal makhni, which was pretty decent. However, this was overshadowed by the disaster that was the jackfruit biryani. It was so poorly prepared that we couldn’t even finish it.nnTo top it all off, the service was just as bad. The server and the manager, Sachin, were inconsiderate and showed no concern for the issues we raised. It felt like they didn’t care about the quality of food being served or the customer experience in general.nnI genuinely don’t understand how this restaurant is still in business. After such a long wait and a terrible meal, I wouldn’t recommend Ishq Restaurant to anyone. Save your time and money—this place isn’t worth it.
A must try restaurant if you are vegetarian. This is a fully vegetarian restaurant. I love their tea thali. Reminds me of street food of Mumbai. I’m not a tea person but I truly enjoy their tea. The 5 ft dosa can easily be shared among 3 people. The only dish I didn’t like are their sizzlers. I feel the other items on the menu are more delicious compared to their sizzlers.nThe menu is reasonably priced and the quantity is good.nThe service is very good and polite. Highly recommend this place
