The staff is really sweet. The only issue I had was with the Vada Pav; the pav was cold and hard, which slightly ruined the experience. However, the chicken lollipop, chicken curry, and pistachio dessert we ordered were amazing! Overall, the food was really good, but the Vada Pav was not the best, considering the place is called Mumbaikar.
Ordered Mutton thali, Pomfret thali, surmai thali and veg thali. For starters we ordered vada pav, which I must say was very close to the vada pav that you get in Mumbai.nAll the non-veg thalis were amazing, filling, and tasty. I was craving for fried fish and they delivered. We opted for paid parking so that we could park near the restaurant as it was very cold outside. Prices for the surmai and Pomfret thalis were high thus 4 stars in all for me.nAll in all it was a great experience with food, service and ambience
MUMBAIKAR… You STUNNER!! What spectacular food and fantastic service. We were a group of 10 and spent our Sunday Evening Dinner at Mumbaikar. Awesome Food, awesome desserts and the best hands on service you can expect. The Star of our evening was their mouth watering Pistachio Tres Leches Cake, I do not want to do injustice and describe it by just words, that would just not be fair.nnThe Missal Pav and Vada Pav will just take you back to Mumbai. We have tried their thalis and the fish delicacies too. Go try this place out and treat your self to the actual 100% Mumbai dining experience. Highly recommended!nnP.SA Not many photos to share as we just gobbled the food as soon as it arrived
This is regarding my visit on August 23rd, 2024, at 9 PM. I ordered bone-in tandoori chicken and specifically told the person taking my order, that I wanted it really, really well done. But guess what? When my order arrived, it wasn’t even warm enough. Parts of the tandoori chicken were literally cold.It seems they precook the chicken, and when someone orders it, they just slather it in oil, throw it in the oven for a couple of minutes, and serve it. It wasn’t even freshly cooked. When I pointed this out to the server, her excuse was, ‘I told them to make it well done, but they still prepared it this way.’ Really? The cook doesn’t listen to the person taking the order? I didn’t even finish half of it—who wants to eat oily, cold tandoori chicken? After that, I asked for mint sauce. They only brought it when I was about to leave. Instead of attending to my request, they just stood at the counter doing something else.To top it off, the washroom was filthy. It’s shocking that a restaurant like this doesn’t even have proper hand wash. They water down the hand wash so much that there was none left, and even the bottle seemed to be asking for forgiveness.I don’t recommend going here. I’m writing this review after a couple of straight bad experiences
